Whut up guys, its been awhile since ive posted any finds. Ive been trying to stay focused and work. Anyway, just wanted to vent a little....

Went to the Flea Market the other day and got proof that the dealers are worse than the Thrifts now.

Found a pair of Alden Penny Loafers in a light brown...very GOOD condition. Im thinking "Awesome! no way this guy is gonna ask for more than $40" hahaha. was I wrong. This guy wanted $200. Look em up, They went for around 160 on the 'bay. So lame. No one that goes to the flea market is gonna wanna drop $200 on Alden's. Maybe $100, but not $200.

I think dealers (and thrifts) have forgotten that their customer base are people with a limited amount of cash. People who broke or People that know their shit (Flippers) arent going to pay close or above eBay prices.

Anyways, go to another stand. In the past, this stand had a Barbour Waxed Parka jacket or whatever for $50, I shouldve probably picked that up. These people have access to some good shit. We're talking Filson, Gaultier, CP Company...prices were decent, but still more than I wanted to drop. CP Company Wool jacket for $60.

It just made me wonder, if you have access to such a good amount of shit and you know your brands (this old lady was on point, wasnt in the dark about any of the brands) why the fuck would you go to the Flea Market to slang this stuff at prices that will make bargain hunters gassy?

Last stop. What looked like a recent Burberry Duffel Coat. It wasnt new with tags so I doubt it was fake, it felt awesome. She wanted $300.

What the fuck is this world coming to?

Think your gonna want to do a Medium Flat Box for that and it would most likely be cheaper as well.

Actually a Regional Rate Box B would prob be the way to go, but we should keep the shipping discussion to the ebay questions thread

So the lady at the register is like, oh you stumbled across the Burberry suits, that were priced at $150-250. And I say no, just this. And she says, well Neiman Marcus is still a good brand right? 14 Micron, Super 180s, $9000 retail. Boom.

Kiton 39R 32"x31" cuff 2"

Wow, that is on serious haul! Still, this has to be the highlight. Recent Kiton Super 180s suit for $88?! And to top it off is has flat front pants?! Jeez, you're killing me here! Nicely done! icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Whoa, what? First Bloomingdales, then Neiman Marcus and now the big Macy's store is up and leaving too?! C'mon, Minneapolis!

I'm really not a fan of Macy's but this is by far the nicest I've seen. Used to be the flagship Dayton's store. The Oval Room had some crazy high-end women's stuff and I think they had a Thomas Pink boutique too. I sure wish Bloomies would come back and carry some of those cool up-and-coming designers the stores on the coasts do. Their MOA store was a disgrace.

Yea we are losing it. All we're left with is Nordstrom...

I was so upset about losing our Neiman, it was our only true high end department store. Bloomingdales I view on par with Nordstrom and Macys is certainly a step below both. Now we have what, Heimies and Hubert Whites, for high end retailers? Nothing with a fashion forward feel which isn't my cup of tea but thats a big demographic and we lost all Isaia, TF and Brioni access...

Two questions...

Selvage? And how long has it been since Osh Kosh made menswear?

I'm stumped--it doesn't look like the good Dior, but I thought the tie you picked up would be made in Argentina.

Non-selvage. Probably mid-late70's.  Should be good on Ebay if they don't fit. They didn't make jeans for adults for very long, their overalls for adults bring a good price.

Thanks... I've never actually looked at selvage denim, so am a little fuzzy... The tags part might be worth something I suppose.
