there is nothing wrong withpicking up z.zegna suits/sportcoats. it's like hugo boss with nicer fabrics and is very desirable on Ebay. not great quality, but pretty damn expensive at retail and has a great modern fit.

+1 Z Zegna suits sell just fine if you're looking to flip them. I'd pick a Z Zegna up over a old label mainline anyday. The cut of the new Z Zegna I have seen has been very nice.

Agreed. The cut isn't bad, but given a choice, I'd wear something else. Having said that, I've had great luck with them on ebay. I remember one that I sold that was black with pink and purple pinstripes. It was terrible. It sold well

Can anyone place a date on this Viyella by Gant label? It still had the pin holding the collar in place!

+1 on the positive Z Zegna comments. Zegna's "diffusion" line is head and shoulders above those of others. In fact, I wouldn't quite term Z Zegna "diffusion" so much as a "secondary" line. In that regard, the comparison to "Chaps" wasn't correct at all, imo. I'd say something like this instead: "Ermenegildo Zegna is to Z Zegna what Isaia is to Gianluca." Even though Isaia craps all over Zegna, the logical statement holds, I think.

Also picked up an LL Bean down jacket (XL) and a Harris Tweed coat. The Bean coat is in like new condition!

I thought I'd mention that I did something that I never thought I'd do...start a blog. I have a number of topics I'd like to cover, including traditional Austrian clothing and street shots (both atrocious and tasteful). If there's something you'd like to see, let me know, I'll try to keep it updated regularly.

I received a number of PMs after I posted some photos from my last Viennese thrifting trip, so I'll probably include more photos on the next trip that I take (possibly next week).
