Ha thanks! I guess that's what happens when you date a hairstylist, when I met her my hair was short cropped smile.gif

Those can be interesting, but it's not something I'd personally wear, if it's what I'm thinking. Depending on the maker, might be worth a flip. If you go back, take a couple of pictures smile.gif

It's not mentioned here often, so I'm not sure whether you find it in the American market, but I've also found some decent quality Gritti by Ermenegildo Zegna. I think it's from their outlet stores, but the pieces I've found have been made in Italy and decent. I think I still have a double-breasted, 6x2, peak lapel, navy blazer somewhere that never quite fit. It was pretty nice.

This suggests that I married a serial killer. Because when I met my wife, my hair looked similar to yours. Now I'm much closer to Telly Savalis. (Google it, youngsters).

My wife wanted me to have longer hair at one point. Once it grew, she understood why I keep it shorter...it just looks long and straight, nothing at all interesting.

rotflmao.gif I'm sure she'd love that analogy

I'm familiar with Einsatz in another connotation. What does it mean there?

In that case, it would be mission/assignment. "Einsatz" can also be used in a number of technical fields. How do you know Einsatz??

While lurking and occassionally posting baller finds is all and well, making 90% of your sporadic posts just to bitch at other people is uncouth to say the least. :end rant: Sorry, ill be the first to jump on some asshole, but im not about to jump on someone who doesn't know wtf they're doing AND trying to learn as he is. He's doing his best, and looking for advice, that's WTF we're here for IMHO. Will I look through some straight bullshit so that we can develop another contributing member of the thread? HELL YES. Im sure we can all agree, we've gotten much better at this over time, and that some of our most valued pieces have come from this thread. I've had people from this thread help me with various facets OF MY LIFE, let alone clothing, if we didn't try to nurture a cordial environment then everyone would be stuck with their own finds and we would all be more poorly dressed. If we all acted like you, we might very well have no Ian (STOKED for your NWOT dries van noten) , no barrel who is always willing to help a brotha out, and most of all NO DM7. So kiss my fucking ass, teaching and being somewhat patient is different than being an asshole and stifling any newcomer.
If you've got a problem with my statement, again, suck it, I think most around here would agree that I do my best to help anyone, and have contributed some pretty goddamned cool pieces of clothing to various wardrobes ( i might not ship on time though, but i will never, ever fuck you over).
PS to everyone else, i know this is old, but im catching up... and the whiskey is getting to me, in that fighting mood, even though im listening to Van morrison.

Uhhhh, just calm your ass down.

Found a pair of these a few days ago (dark brown and light subdued caramel). Is there a special name for the high slanted 80 degree pockets?

Pretty sure they are both store samples. Look & feel NWTO (you can just tell after seeing 1000's of jackets new and used), front pockets basted, basting thread on rear vents evident (not shut though), evidence of glued on tag that prob read "sample" which was removed but glue is evident. To list or not to list NWOT....that is the question stirpot.gif

Thanks! I thought Mexico was a bit off but I also saw Switzerland in eBay so thought whatever. It does have a gabardine feel but the buttons are excellent! I ddon't like plastic or resin buttons on jackets. Oh well, live and learn!

there is nothing wrong withpicking up z.zegna suits/sportcoats. it's like hugo boss with nicer fabrics and is very desirable on Ebay. not great quality, but pretty damn expensive at retail and has a great modern fit.
