If you like linen, or Carroll & Co., or Paul Stuart, or all three, holla atcha boy: bunch of shirts, all from one store, probably from the same guy.  He had interesting taste (cord shirts, linen shirts, band collar shirts including one contrast band collar (!!!)).  I think they're mostly in the Medium/Large, 38-40 range.

It does fit me but stuff in my closet is a constant rotation and when new stuff comes in old stuff goes out. I'll keep a note to let you know if/when I decide to part with this awesome shirt.

I think it'd be a great flip, honestly. The stripes are very subtle (at least the appear so to be) and it looks like a flannel which is a plus. Looks like it could easily be pulled off as a sportcoat/blazer.

Not shown- Dual vent with internal belt across the tail.

Needs a good cleaning but overall maybe worth a flip attempt?
[/SPOILER]

Depends what you paid, but I think you can expect $50-100 (closer to the lower end since its a striped orphan in an odd size) on EBay depending on condition. Good luck!

Measuring everything now- it's all 'Bayward bound.

That Crombie is what's known as Chesterfield coat and Is the coat of choice to wear over a tux. Make sure you put Chesterfield in the Ebay title when you list it. They are tough to find in good condition and I had been looking for one in my size for over a year until I bought an awesome Souhwick from Datsunsfan last week.

Great find!

The Borrelli has some of the worst neck stains ever, but at $2.95 I figure it's worth a shot if for nothing else buttons... But yeah I have to try cleaning it up first. The rest of them are pretty much tip top, and pretty much too big for most of you (17-17.5).

After seeing what Spoo was getting for pretty sweet looking PL ties in good condition, I didn't think it was worth the time and effort to photograph and list, and I wouldn't have worn it.

I got skunked at a GW and TJ Maxx. It seems as though the number of people I am seeing thrifting has increased, although most of them don't appear to know what they're doing. One lady today saw the same shawl sweater I had spotted on a mannequin 10 minutes earlier (it was alan flusser) and she proceeded to look it up on her phone. Most of these people don't go through the suits, thank god. I've seen her there before, and I'm not really sure what her strategy is because she doesn't seem to know anything about brands, but the store regularly has brooks brothers shirts in large quantities that never sell. You'd think she'd be buying them. I did see her pick up a really heavy LL Bean sweater than I would recognize again. I'm gonna see if I can find it on eBay and see what else she's selling. I'm really curious to know what she's buying.

I have found that even the people that look at every tag like they are flipping might not actually be. They might be looking for sizes and items for husband/friends/etc.

I probably would have flipped shit on the fatty as well. But I'd find it a bit weird yelling "YOU RUINED MY $600 SHOES!" at a thrift store.

EDIT - To praise Nataku's awesome haul! Mega thumbs up man!

I wonder WWFD? What would Frenchy do in a situation like this? You think he would kick over her chair? uhoh.gif

That is so bad ass! You just need a matching shotgun to look like Michael Caine a la Get Carter!

Fellas, I've run across a ton of brands in thrift stores but don't know what I'm looking at. I saw a black Versace coat, Hugo boss suits. Brooks brothers and others. What Are the top brands I should pick up regardless of size? I only found two that fit me, which was a Kors and Lauren suit. Good enough to thrift and tailor as second and third suits. Any help is appreciated. I could really use a list of top 10 to buy no matter what ( these have averaged ess than 30 or so).

What should I look for in a overcoat and shoes too. I've yet to get a quality pair. I'm hunting for AE's at the moment but I've seen a lot of some Johnson & something.

I also found a Burrberrys (yes w an S) suit but I passed, can't remember why I did that other than fit. I was going to buy it for a friend but it had an issue. Was that a decent find?

No. Sorry.

Went to one store, found a PRL made in Italy blazer that was not made by the Corn. Not 100% sure. Will post pics later.

Bought my third pair of Rayban wayfarer at a discounted price. RB 2132, polarized lenses. Crystal clear! I love these! I gifted my cousin with the last pair I bought.

If you are purchasing for yourself, while quality is quite important, the style and fit is your primary concern.
