Not so much a "discount store item", but I scored a killer pair of Raichle hiking boots off Ebay.

These are from the late 80s, I think. Damn good condition... Price? I consider it a trade for the part of the profit from the Crockett & Jones shoes I sold on Saturday. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Make sure to check for stains in unusual places. Also, make sure there aren't any wear marks. NWOT could be tricky sometimes. lol had to tone down the content.

INSANE knitwear haul today. Haven't thrifted in awhile but following this thread again got the juices so I hit one of my old haunts. All 100% cashmere, all mint condition - and all my size biggrin.gif. Gray ribbed sweater is Cucinelli - hang label is missing. Was never that impressed with Cucinelli's tailored and other stuff - now I understand why they are known for knits - this stuff is REDONK. Total cost around $40. NOT AVAILABLE

Ran a couple doors down the block while my take-out lunch was being made today. It's amazing what you can pickup in the time it takes to make a sandwich!

L to R: Oxxford, Bespoke H-F blazer, Oxxford 120s, H-F 100% cashmere houndstooth. All are tagged 42L except the bespoke, but it appears to be from the same closet.

Hanging out with her in a bit and fully expect to share the gist of the posts here. She'll crack up because she's that cool.

So I still haven't gotten to photograph the jackets I picked up yesterday... Probably won't till this weekend, and now, well um...

Randomore =

700

Seriously... I'll say this, most of the vinyl was picked over already, had I been a few hours earlier god knows what I would have ended up with.

What I got:

Police- Outlandos d' Amour

MJ- Thriller

The Who- Quadrophenia and Live at Leeds

Queen- Greatest Hits

Neil Diamond- Greatest Hits V.2 because fuck it why not haha

YES- The Yes album and Fragile

Cheap Trick- Live at Budokan

The Rolling Stones- Some Girls and Sucking in the Seventies

I wish they had all been $.95 but this shop was more than reasonable in its pricing. Left behind basically all of Santana's works, some Petty, a bunch of Jackson 5 / MJ off the wall, and a few other random bands.

Super bummed I missed out on (and by that I totally walked past it, only seeing the corner of it and it not registering) an original Reservoir Dogs poster from 1992, framed and ready to roll for $4.

On the plus side, I looked at the shirt section. Skeets, kats, borrs, batts, golden turds a plenty. Well singular examples of each, but it sounded better plural. And I couldn't come up with any animal placeholders for Etro and Zegna Sport so yeah those too. I would pay money to have a photograph of how big my eyes got upon finding some of them.

Hello fellow thrifters!

I come with a question today....

I recently stopped by a consignment store and my GF fell in love with a Gucci dress they had - the price is more than I would like it to be - but she quite likes it, so I am wondering if anyone can verify authenticity of this dress from pictures.....  and maybe a ballpark of what they think it should be worth incase I really am getting ripped off....

Thanks a ton!

Here it is:  (Sorry about the crappy pics)

I just recently caught again The Stones' Rock & Roll Circus which features The Who, fiery and fierce, just having come off the tour on which Live at Leeds was recorded. Sublime!

If you can, get Hot August Night by Neil Diamond.
