The numbers that Spoo was dropping were crazy and above retail, so I dunno what's going on there.

Yeah I wasn't anticipating anywhere near $100 but figured if I start the auction at what I paid I'll still stand to make a few bucks.

.

I was thinking that too, but then I was trying to keep it relative in size to the lapels. Can't win em' all, I guess. satisfied.gif

Whoa, deets?

Was this at a thrift? Old store stock or did it look like someone's collection? Any obscure 60's/70's stuff or all pretty mainstream? I'd be willing to pay up for any off-the-wall stuff in good shape (Soft Machine, The Mothers, Captain Beefhart, Incredible String Band, Love, Caravan, and all the little 1-album bands from the era).

Oh, and you may say you will never have to dig through the crates again, but you will. It's just like thrifting - an addiction. There will always be that album you don't even know exists or you discover an artist you didn't know about previously and then want to hunt down their discography. Trust me, it never ends! laugh.gif

Damn dude! That's something I'm always hoping happens to me. No chance you want to go back and grab those Miles Davis, would you? shog[1].gif

I'm sure we've discussed this before but I wonder how many of us are record collectors as well. Guessing quite a few...

Isn't that the truth. Picked up a couple albums unknown to me T rex and a few others. Shoot me a pm with bands you are on the lookout for ill head back today, or tomorrow. I think it was a stores stock that was donated, a lot of multiples. I think someones huge collection mixed in as well though.

I forgot you guys were also collectors if any of my trading partners are interested I am purging my collection mostly basic stuff you probably already have but also some cool spoken word like Edgar Allen Poe read by basil rathbone and some early British ska/hip hop mash ups and a lot of 90s hip hop like tribe and albino black sheep

1. Randomessaged

2. Photographing some interesting finds for the thread's consideration.

3. Best find of all recently, a girl (nwot) who likes thrifting almost as much as I do (hunts for mcm furniture), shares artistic pursuits, works in the same industry as me on the side. Unavailable.

I really want to make a joke about usage of NWOT, but I'm running low on coffee. Somebody please assist. smile.gif
