I'm sure both of these violate all kinds of style rules, but I don't care...I wanted to wear something a bit more outrageous than I normally do, so I'll take even a "less terrible" suggestion.  The navy seems like the "safer" choice, but too boring.  BB SC thrifted, Paul Stuart SC purchased (Nataku), Eton traded (Mexicutioner), LP pants purchased (Vexco), Chukkas for an insane deal ($50) (Ocooney for the tip), Lands' End tie thrifted.

I like the bit of sleeve showing with #1, but prefer the style / pattern of #2.  So I'm no help...

I'd go with the navy blazer.

Well, here's my best thrift brag to date, and will explain my absence: met a girl in a thrift and she is amazing--pointed out and correctly identified an orphaned suit jacket out of the blue. inlove.gif

A match made in the thrift store! Sounds like a perfect plot to a romantic comedy staring Tom Cruise? He seems cheeky enough to play you, no? Did she majored in flippology, too?

Bro, that sucks your parents can't pay for your college but going to the community college is a great route! Berkeley is a very divers city. Besides the homeless problem, I think you will enjoy living there. Tons of libs hipster chicks! Can you say skinny jeans and mustaches? mwink[1].gifDude, I'm about 40 minutes away from there. I hear the thrift scene is pretty cool, too.

I vote for the 1st. I like the trad look of navy and khaki. You can't go wrong with it. The 2nd one...I don't know, somehow the brown and khaki throws me off a bit...

Are you talking about these?

Did he send you the same shoes in the picture? Are you sure they're shell?

You realize Ebay loves buyers and hates sellers.  You should probably talk to the buyer and see what he will do for you.  If he lists a product incorrectly its on him to fix it.  I know I have given and received my fair share of discounts because of misrepresentation.

Also found a Peacoat with only these tags on it.

Worth a Kop?

Went down to Louisville for my niece's seventh birthday. My daughter had a blast at the party, then I went thrifting.

Stopped by a higher priced consignment store that carries awesome stuff and I've occasionally found flippable stuff. I walk in an there are signs everywhere saying 30% off. Except suits. Which are 50% off.

I'm like:

Then I look around and realize I have arrived for the last ten minutes of a three day sale and realize I'm actually this guy:

Tried to salvage the day by checking out a couple of Unique thrifts and a goodwill. Massive failure. Currently drowning my miseries in scotch and wondering why I even thrift.

^ I suppose it hurts more when u know there is potential at certain stores and u come up worse then empty handed.

Whereas in my case, the potential is quite limited. (We have 0 men's boutiques in our major city, as well as no brick & mortars except a macys... ) so there is never any high end men's clothing donated within the area. Best chance we get us if they ever rotate between stores 80+ miles away.

Stupidly I still find myself out there occasionally to try and find something!

Hey guys I have been seeing a lot of great deals/trades being passed around the forum lately and its making me see that I do not contribute as much as everyone else. I am about to have a 240 + item 10 day auction starting on Thursday (EBAY) and if anyone wants to make a trade or get a SF discount please message me and we can def work something out.

Thanks again,
