Anybody know if the sizing is US or UK if made for a US store?

Whoa. How's that for synergy. I never even heard of evisu genes until yesterday when I found some.

It is rainy out here and decided to hit an estate sale this morning.  They advertised Giorgio Armani suits and high end ties so I got there at 5:30am to ensure I got a good number (#4).  Fortunately, the first three only wanted tools.

Turns out they were asking $30-$50 for each Armani SC or suit and they were too small for me so I left them.  Did snag a Hermes and a Valentino tie.

The only other Hermes tie I owned was absolutely hideous, so it had to be real.. :)  This one, since I could see myself wearing this one, I'm not sure.  Any Hermes experts out there?

Valentino (red) and Hermes (yellow) ties:

Even cooler, just yesterday I decided I needed a cedar lined chest for storage since all my closets are full and my wife is starting to give me that "look."  Leaving the sale, I saw this, looking new - still with its 1970s-type tags on it and both keys for $20.  Perfect!

Someone just had a thread about this on the main page. They bought NMT but it came without tags. One of the responders said he had a few and I remember him saying they had nice MOP buttons which this one seems to have.

If it's for you that's a heck of a price.I like their stuff but it's not highly regarded. I have a pair of shorts made by them.

Ummmmmmm, I kind of want to print this out and frame it. Now if you could just make the signatures on the bottom read Spoo, Dm7, Wes, and Mainy........ fing02[1].gif

Randy is the best Photoshopper out there lol8[1].gif

So, Ive only got 2800 more pictures to take so no thrifting for me this weekend. But, two (sadly) failed thrift thread purchases available here and Xposting to the trade thread.

Tartan plaid SC, about a 38-40R

J Crew made in England blackwatch hooded duffle that I am GUTTED is just too short for my monkey arms...

Both available for preferred trades, Im not picky, send me something I can sell. Ties are preferred. Or, can send you for future finds, just want these in a new home more than anything, cause it pisses me off that I cant fit either.

Thrift fit pic:
70's ski hat
BB slim fit pink and white striped OCBD
BB fair isle shawl collar sweater
Duffel, trade from another member
Levis cords, not thrifted
70's Danner mountaineering boots
AppleMark
AppleMark
AppleMark

And talk about synergy, my wife was showing me these vintage containers that hold sewing suppleys on ebay last week. She said "I would get one for you, but you'd probably find one thrifting." I told her that I had never seen one before, but that they were pretty cool. Out today and what do I find?

It's totally possible that I've walked past these before because I didn't know what they were. Armed with a mental picture stored inside my head, this one practically jumped out at me. I also picked up this sweet Filson corduroy heavy shirt/jacket thing. Size M and available.

And some Steely Dan (AJA!!!!) Heart, etc.

HUGE SHOUT-OUT to GM-H for a SICK Holland & Holland baby alpaca blend jacket.

Well, here's my best thrift brag to date, and will explain my absence: met a girl in a thrift and she is amazing--pointed out and correctly identified an orphaned suit jacket out of the blue. inlove.gif
