Damn, talk about a humblebrag.  

So, I have been looking for a bowler hat for the last couple of years. Long before my SF days and knowing what quality stuff was, I purchased one off ebay only to have it arrive as a cheap throw away party hat. Fast forward to last week when thriftydood posted that amazing hat haul. Low and behold, what did I see? Just what I had been looking for, a vintage bowler made by a great company in fantastic condition. There were some back and forth between us when I realized I didn't have anything to trade Mr. thriftydood at the moment (he is a rather difficult size for finding in the thrifts). So he said he would send me the hat for future consideration. Awesome I thought, this guy is pretty cool. Then he says he noticed that I like knit ties and would I like him to send a few with the hat, as he bought some awhile ago but realized he doesn't like knit ties that much. Sure, I says, send them on over. Well, the package arrived last night and I was blown away to say the least. Not only was the hat impeccable, but he sent me, not 1

Not 10

I actually picked one up this weekend with you in mind from your post back in the late summer/early fall. But alas it is only about a size 7 which IIRC you wear a 7-3/8

Well, I have been determined to find one this whole time. Was really excited about the one I grabbed, though not silk lined like the one dood found. It had no size tag, but was only $5 so it was worth the risk. 

Not really, I already have 2 of those.

This is probably the most amazing thing I have ever seen. I am very jealous. Who zams it for you? Does a neighbor volunteer to maintain it or does the city actually pay for it to be zam'd throughout the day? Want to know what that would look like here? I have always wanted to pay pond hockey. This seems to solve the problem of chasing pucks in snow banks though!

Seriously though, Florida does have a good amount of outdoor roller rinks, which work well. But wearing full gear in 90 degree weather isn't so great most of the time.

At lunch I scored a gianna versace navy turtle neck sweater, zegna sweater, zegna shirt, PINK shirt w/ an old label, and 2 BB VTG suits w flat front trousers. One is a 3-piece, and I may keep both if they actually fit (they are near my size range). Didn't have time to try them on before getting back to work. If they don't fit, will make one available.
