Also, retconning my haul from yesterday, that BB Makers tie (which I wore to an interview today in fact) was NWT! Discovered it lodged under the blade when I put it on this morning. So my first actual NWT item and it's all mine.

After Christmas its a buyers market till tax time. I just bought a pair of shoes for 10$.

I had exactly this hesitation for a long time, then I found a pair of golashas at the local thrift. For $3, I now have rubber slip-overs that I put over my shoes most days between November and March. I take them off at work. I can put on my suede Peals on a cold, snowy day and be without fear.

On the way this morning to drop off some skates to get sharpened I got in a fender bender with some young men from Israel. How do I know they're from Israel? When we exchanged information he gave me his Israeli drivers license. I hope the insurance (his fault) goes smoothly. After talking to the cops and my insurance people, I needed some thrift therapy.

All from 2 stores. Not available - I need to move inventory because we're saving up for a family trip to NYC in the fall.

Perhaps more importantly, I hope you got a good edge. I used to sharpen in way back in high-school (for free ice-time) and I am so nit-picky about my edge now. Some of the kids here just throw the skates on the stone and call it a day or burn the S#!* out of my blade.
