"Burberrys" is older Burberry, correct? Saw an old trench with that label. Was a nice coat at some stage, but was unfortunately in rough shape.

Anyone know anything about Barena Venezia? Found this in the womens section - fits me reasonably well picked it up and will probably keep but completed eBay listings look like it might do well for me there. DB all cotton, dual vent, completely unstructured.

Other find I'm particularly chuffed with - T&A 100% cashmere sweater. A bit of piing but no major issues and nothing that a once over with a razor won't fix.
Moral of the story is always check what's on the mannequins!

Burberry's rebranding strategy included dropping the apostrophe-S in 1998.

'1998 - Bravo taps Italian designer Roberto Menichetti to launch the designer Burberry Prorsum line. Photographer Mario Testino is hired to retouch the brand’s image, newly rebranded as Burberry (dropping the “s”). Cool Britannia models Stella Tennant and Kate Moss will embody Burberry’s new spirit in Testino’s black-and-white ad campaigns. The Diana tartan—pale blue with navy, black, and red stripes—introduced in memory of the late Princess of Wales. Alexis Bittar designs the brand’s first ready-to-wear jewelry collection. Vogue staffer Katherine Betts profiles Menichetti in the December story “Check Mate.” '

Awesome find, and 50 points for use of the word 'chuffed.'

Busy weekend for me.

I picked this overcoat up last night. A beautiful inky blue mohair/wool winter overcoat with a gorgeous nap and a two-colour overlaid windowpane. My pics don't do it justice at all.
It was -24C (-12F) last night with a howling north wind. I guess something was subconsciously telling me I needed it. Anyone here from Montreal? It's from Brunet Freres on Wellington in Verdun. IS it still around? I'm sure this from the late-50s or early-60s.

A Pal Zileri Gruppo Forall pinstripe suit

An Alpha Industries USAF MA-1 repro flight jacket

A Lacoste - Izod Harrington

A bunch of Harris Tweeds.

A private label Harry Rosen jacket.

Two Boss jackets.

And some Banana Republics for ebay.

Awesome find! Barena has been around for awhile, recently they've been getting more attention stateside. Very on trend, and a recent looking piece. Sweet!

I did a day trip in the summer. I didn't stop in O'Connell's as it would have been just to look and I ran out of energy. I found the thrift stores a disappointment compared to the ones in Rochester. I know one visit can't tell you much about the intake, but most places looked like a hole-in-the-wall compared to the retail-style stores here.

I'm not sure from this angle, but that may be a sleeve pitch issue.

Welcome, friend. We live by a single rule here: Pics or it didn't happen. There are no exceptions.
Or not. Sounds like you'd have snagged them.
Nice fit! Looks great!
Nice finds!

Highlife: Great shirt haul! Always impressed when I see Hermes non-ties.

Thanks- my first non-tie Hermes finds, both appear legit from what I can gather....bummed about the hole in the pants.
