More like this, after spending some time lurking various threads on various forums, I'm actually more confused than when I started. I think COAT does more traditional SCs, whereas K is their washed/distressed line
Oh hell yes. The seller had listed on the brand portion "COAT", and was obviously interested as to what I had to say because, well, I'm a terrible liar and you can read me like a book so when I very excitedly came up to the counter he had a lot to ask about the maker. Pics:

Check out the fabric, totally not visibile until you're breathing on it.

Shout to GMMcL for telling me to memorize the HOF thread the other day, definitely came in handy in a cell phone dead zone. The only problem I have with it is, well, the height of the notches. Do any of you remember PTO's lapel gorge height guide (http://putthison.com/post/23483570213/consider-the-gorge-trends-are-a-funny-thing)? Um, yes, these definitely are in the Higher - Ridiculous range.

This thing is badass and is the correct size.

Fuck 35,000 Brionis (18 actually) , Bogliogli for life.  Dat cashmere Kiton tho....

All of my trousers and jeans are stored in these hangers.  I fold them in half, probably too haphazardly, and clamp them .

From what I've seen, they are intended to clamp at the cuff. Just below, really. The ones I have even have a relief cut out for the side-seams. Even if you don't have cuffs, the folded under fabric will create some extra thickness that will give the clamp a place to purchase so that your pants don't slip through and fall on the floor. The felt helps with that too.

Have several of these, yup

Grendel and EazyE, those are beautiful fits.  I love that cardigan with that tie especially, Grendel.  I want to take a few moments to give a shoutout to OCooney for an incredibly generous trade, in which I received a pair of Church's Custom-Grade, pre-Prada, with the ORIGINAL BOX and in great condition.  Holy crap, man!  Plus, they're now one of my 2 best-fitting pairs; even though the numerical sizing would indicate otherwise, OCooney assured me they would be good for me, and he was right. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif  I also want to thank Tubs and 1OfTheCoolKids for hooking me up with some BB and Bill's khakis like the ones they posted the other day, even before we settled on what I am sending in trade!  So grateful to the standup guys in this thread.

-----------------

That said, I went out on discount day and found some things, available unless otherwise noted.

I know Guy Laroche is nothing to get all wet about, but I'm a subscriber and big fan of the Philadelphia Orchestra and thought this was perfect for me.  (Maybe for my fantasized alter-ego as orchestra conductor?)

Vintage 1960's slim-lapel 40-41R Harris Tweed, 3 roll 2.  Pre-dibbed, but possibly available.

Now I also managed to pick up some shirts:

Left column:

Aquascutum, sized M - 15.5x33

Orvis button-collar w/breast pocket, sized M

Paul Stuart made in Canada, 17x34

Pink button-collar, 16.5x35 (pre-dibbed)

Right column:  all 16.5x33, all pre-dibbed but possibly available

3x Faconnable

Robert Talbott french-cuff

Photobucket

Madeleine Finn thick white oxford, size M

Never came across this brand before, but is obviously quality and has thick MOP buttons

EDIT:  Passed on a nice, good condition black 4-button Boss orphan found in the women's section, 40L.  Felt bad leaving it, but [shrug].

I think that's what he meant when he said some items were bought on consignment. I guess he won one of Spoo's items?

Got a blazer for a measly $10 on a recent trip to Portland. I was shocked that it was fairly close to my size (48L-50L). Feels like reasonably nice wool, but the construction is just mediocre. I assumed "Norm Thompson" was a low-budget Jos-A-Bank type deal (which seems about right). I can't seem to find a whole lot of information on the "La Viale" Fabric, or how old the jacket might be. Based on the padding in the shoulders I'd guess early eighties. Kindof an odd mix of casual and formal, so I'll probably default to wearing it casually. Which is fine, since I'm in a casual line of work. Besides, it'll make a good placeholder until I find something better.

Meh, TLDR: Cheap blazer, I'll probably wear it anyway.

Where is this Marshall's? I live in Southern California. We live in area that is mostly middle class along with some nicer areas. We have a Marshall's and they never have that type of stuff. They used to have suit section 10 years. Now they usually only get a few. I guess it has to do with the are we live in. I remember last year going to Marshall's and they usually would have no more than maybe1 dozen suits. Just a few near where the dress shirts would be. I remember once they had 1 Polo Suit that was a 40L and they had least 2 or 3 Theory Suits. The rest of the stuff was junk.

Call around to find the one closest to you with a suit department. Thats the one you want to go to. Near me the closest one is a half hour away but I go every few weeks.
