Among today's finds at half-price SA day ($2.50 a pop), Italian pants. They fit. Unfamiliar brands. Where do they fit on the food chain? "Generic Uomo?"

the middle one is 140s + cashmere, discovered with "feel test"

The only issue is that the sleeves are about 1/2" shorter than I'd like. Can't win 'em all, eh? IIRC, I paid $3. I don't think that store knew what they had.

I like the older ones as well, even the regular oxford cloth ones. I keep the ones that fit me and Ebay the rest. Hey, anytime I can buy one for $3 and sell for $15-20 is ok in my book. Once I found an old Woolster Gant and the CEO of Gant, USA bought it from me off Ebay.

people expressed intrested when I posted my first modern tailor shirt so I thought I would make a follow up post'

sleeves are finally long enough although I think I will shorten then by 1/4 of an inch, something is still sort of weird in the chest area I don't know if it is the yoke measurement the arm opening or the pit to pit but something is either too small or too large I should be able to get it right in the next couple shirts it is not that big of a deal

I passed on a Paul and Shark yachting double breasted navy blazer, made in Italy, that was missing a button.  Size XXL.  Was that a mistake?

Yup, excellent find! I have found quite a few Frays and they are some of my favorite shirts. Amazing details and a good amount of handwork.

As for me, only thing I found today was a pair of recent (red label) Isaia flat front charcoal trousers. 34 (+2") x 35

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I'm pretty sure those buttons are bone and they used to be a feature of better but not best quality dress shirts from Gitman Bros.and those made under private label for Nordstrom, Land's End, and the like.

I would launder and iron that shirt myself, since your average laundry will chip those buttons like you can't believe. Unless of course, you have a drawer full of ones salvaged off worn out shirts.
