But the stuff I'm putting up tomorrow, that's all at a discount price.

So your entire existence in this thread has been bragging about things you had mailed to you to list on eBay?  I guess your experience is similar to that of the first person to have figured out the Contra cheat code.

Late to the party on this, perhaps, but if anyone in CT did hit this up (or would proxy) please PM me. Thrifted a Borrelli in my size (my very first post on this forum a month or so ago) and I just love it so much.

Had exactly 13 minutes in a thrift in the last seven days while my wife and child napped in the car. Found jackshit. Extremely jealous of fantastic hauls all around.

Got out of Cincy on Saturday, tried my hand at thrifting a couple of hours away.  Hit 16 stores, only 6 turned up anything decent.  Most of it is headed to the 'bay to help finance my garage to photo studio conversion.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

6 Harris Tweeds, 3 are size 36, 1 size 40, 2 size 44.

Brooks Brother size 44R.

Here's something I never get to say... BRIONI.  It's probably just an orphan, and I haven't yet decided to keep or send to the 'bay.

Evisu jeans.  Definitely for the 'bay.  Should cover fuel and lunch costs for the trip.

Robert Graham. Also saw a RG tie, but looked like a cat had gotten ahold of it.

3 Brooks Brothers ties.

Hermes, Turnbull & Asser, Zegna.

Not the epic thrift run I had hoped for, but any time I can walk away with Harris Tweeds, Brioni, and TnA I'm grateful.

Of course, to find these I literally had to flip through several hundred suits and sportcoats... If I made this a regular event, I'd look like this dude:

I don't have a picture, but I was disgusted to see at my local Marshall's this weekend a cashmere E. Zegna v-neck marked down to $150 ... in lime green ... with, literally, two 2-inch holes cut in the front and multiple pencil-size holes front and back. I turned it over expecting to see bloodstains.

This weekend I saw shirts at the thrift that I swear had vomit stains.  That was a first for me.

Dunno which store this is. I hit one that I didn't love recently and found one Borrelli and Battistoni, but this sounds like a big load.

For the love of all things holy... Of course all the 12's are only D width.

fistbump.gif  I have since had to take down my makeshift home studio, but it was great to have my own photo space.  Also, I noticed that you found HT in 36!  This has only happened to me once, ever. I can't believe you found three, wondering if from the same guy.

The other day I found a beautiful Orvis button down. It had a dry cleaning tag on it and blood stains on the right cuff. Somebody had tried hard to remove the stains. I was going to give it a try with the treatment but then I noticed that the buttons on that cuff were also scratched to hell. I'm thinking the owner had an accident or a bad fall (and put his hand out to break it).

I had to resist buying those and the crepe sole shortwings VERY MUCH. I just bought a pair of Martegani chukkas for $90 on eBay and I just thought two pairs was too much. Still having to convince myself about the crepe soles, though.
