I have a love-hate relationship with Minneapolis. Most of my hate is centered around uptown. Mostly because it takes an hour to drive through it :brick:

You just gotta learn some shortcuts. Enough years of living in that area has taught me how to get around but then again since I moved to the other side of the highway I haven't driven through much.

Thanks for going thrifting with me!  It was nice to finally meet someone (rather, the thrift master) from the forums.

Good luck hitting up your other stores!

I've picked up two of those same Venturas.  They are very underrated, and are some of the nicest suits I have picked up.

The pants and jacket fit OTR? Excellent find. (I figured you had 5 navy suits in your size from all your escapades)

True, but after going through there during rush hour I just avoided it. My wife used to live near the warehouse district, I found that university was never a good idea, but the next street across 35W was usually open (forget the name)

Nope, I'm pretty thin, so most stuff doesn't fit. I was just commenting on the fabric, construction, details (surgeons cuffs), etc.

Details on LB pants and belts? :D

Yeah. I NEVER find belts. It's getting a little frustrating. Only one I found was an LL Bean, and when I got home it was cracked. I have the crappiest belts on SF.

The thrift gods are a funny, fickle group. I went back to the store where I found the Brooks Brothers Golden Fleece suit and the orphan coat. I was determined to do a better job of tossing the store to be certain that the gray pants to the orphan really were not in the store. I even searched the winter coat rack. Nada. I cruised the tops of the racks for shoes but saw nothing of interest other than a pair of shoes for SWMBO that were made in Spain (Turns out they sell them at J.C.P. for around $40. meh) and a color she currently does not own. Then I took one last turn in the shirt aisle. Sitting among all of the square toed shoes, I saw leather soles.

Big scratch!

Priced as marked today. They fit but don't ask me what size they are. I'm guessing they are Peal & Co.

Dig is stoked.

I would compete for that title for use. I can never find 28-30" belts, even at the stores (not that I'm going to pay retail for them anyway)

I only recently found my first belts... a somewhat beat up but usable walnut leather by Coach, and an unworn navy & red surcingle from Coach. They're like shoes, very rare to find any that are well made, and even more rare to find one that's not destroyed.

Very true. I usually don't venture past Lake Calhoun on Lake St. unless it's absolutely necessary.
I know there's some "Sales" this weekend up here in Minneapolis, I don't usually go out for those. Huge crowds. Have at it!
Yeah, the workers mentioned a large sale all weekend. A big tag sale one day and a book sale another day. Made me feel a little better about leaving town this weekend.

Thanks again! Hope to meet up again next time we're down here! Our schedule this trip is pretty hectic.
