I'd say you've got some serious reading to do tonight....about 59k posts should get you up to speed for tomorrow.

It's times like these where this thread really needs Frenchy.

Got in late last night and finally had the chance to photograph. I don't have time to take good pictures or measurements at the moment, but if something blows up your skirt, PM me.

This coat was a strange acquisition. Apparently, in Atlanta, if you try to touch the racks of clothing coming to the floor you get yelled at by surly employees. In my area, if you don't get to the racks as they come out, you won't get anything. So a guy comes up and says he's been following her and makes a one-sided decision that if he doesn't want it, I can have it, and just grabs it. He ended up handing it over, though. Sorry if it was one of you here, but that shit would not fly at the stores I frequent. Anyway, I gave it to my dad but if someone wants it, he might be convinced with a trade.

330CK, I feel like you are my thrifting twin. Often times I see you get stuff in the same vein as me and vice versa. Nice haul. Would be interesting to see if we did a Trading Places between NY-ATL and see what happened....

Those speakers are total shit but you get a pass vis a vis thrift store find. Still, sound like shit. I'm an audiophile so I think of this from a different perspective.

Bose has always made trash but marketed well. Open the cabinets, those magnets are so small they would make a 3" penor look huge.

What did you pay? Hobbyist curiosity.

PM me if you want to to discuss further, dont want to shit the thread.

I've already gotten a few PMs, and I'm sure I'll get a couple more. I won't be able to get to them tonight, so please do not think I'm ignoring you--I am purposely not replying so I can keep them in order of who had first dibs. It may be a few days before I can get back with measurements--got a lot of stuff to do before classes resume for me on Monday.

PM me anyway - we might be able to work something out if it fits you.

Thanks, man--huge compliment. Maybe someday I too will be able to get $2500 for TF-era croc shoes.

I was only in the north Georgia area for vacation, though. Parents have a cabin in NW GA mountains, and I hit most of the stores in that area, Chattanooga area, and Atlanta. You're welcome to borrow my Passat TDI and use the cabin if it means I get that Benz and your house. devil.gif

You're right; however, I love finding Bose because their resale value is excellent and I have zero desire to keep them around. I paid about 40% of what I plan to re-sell them for--more than I have in the past, but still not a bad investment.

True that. No shortage of ebay suckers willing to buy brand names.

Sure there are some fora members with stunted ears that would buy them and save the fees....

Yo fellas... if you are getting tired of your 3 way 1996 pioneer faux walnut veneer shakey bakey speakers that your parents bought you for xmas in 10th grade, you're stepping up. Pay the brother for the win win.

YOU JUST BLEW MY MIND. Because I was totally there, at the Buckhead Goodwill, the other night, when you grabbed for that coat and the guy treated you like a dick. I remember him saying "You looked like you were really bent out of shape" when he finally let you try on the jacket. That was pretty awesome.
