I'm not one to shy away from used shoes generally, but this grosses me out a little.  Is it evident that the previous owner went sock-less in this?  It's a half-size too big for me anyway, but otherwise I'm surprised people go for used "barefoot" shoes that were really used without socks.  That first line of contact rule, but for athletic footwear especially!

Exactly that reason - that label with the text only appears on the heavy silk ties, the woven ones. The whimsical printed twills only bear the horse and carraige logo.

 

+1 I found three recently (never found any before), but it's quite rare to come across a good fake, and usually it's easy to tell them apart.  For the printed ties, first check is label (no Hermes - Paris under horse&carriage), then loop of thread, then twill, then lining, then folds.  Even if everything else is right, the folds are where you can see the quality or not.

P.S. I found a PRL Made in Italy (Corneliani?) blue+white striped seersucker suit 40R at greater than thrift prices, at $38.  Can proxy, or if you think I should kop it, let me know.

I'd say fake. Mitchell and Ness is a hip brand in some quarters, so it wouldn't surprise me if they were a target (besides sports stuff being an easy mark) and that looks nothing like a real yankees jersey, let alone one from 2004. And I really doubt a company dedicated to accurate historic reproductions would put a name on the back of a Yankees jersey. For that matter, I would be surprised to see them making a 2004 "throwback" of a current player. And they most certainly do have licenses. Not particularly convinced by that Chicago jersey either, the sleeve stripes look crappily put together in a way that doesn't look like any MLB jersey I've ever seen. Not to mention Jordan never played for the Sox, he fizzled out in AA- you might find that on a regular old Majestic jersey some fan had customized, but I'm pretty sure M&N doesn't do that.

Sorry, but I'd say you're in the possession of two not particularly good Korean fakes.

No to everything you've asked. H. Freeman has some cool stuff. Once in a while, I'll pick up a SC and pants. The Freeman boys were trained under the same tailor. They went their separate ways. One named their shit, Hickey Freeman while the other named H. Freeman.
