The official thrift/discount store bragging thread - Page 3943

Baller finds today, ya'llz! I got a Bill Blass suit, and a NWT Perry Ellis Portfolio tie. NWT, biatches! The suit has some pink stains on the crotch, but they just look like they're ink or something easy to get out like that- it should be e-bay monez, yo!

Note: The preceding post may not be entirely serious. Thrifting has seriously sucked for me lately...

Actually, the suit was in my size, and a decent fit. I may have even actually bought it for personal use since 36S is hard to find, but I'm not kidding about the stains. Pinkish purple, and they looked pretty well dyed into the fabric. Right in the front of the crotch, and one on the upper leg. My best guess is something red that dry cleaning didn't manage to kill.

Yeah, I grabbed both of them. There was an Isaia seven-fold also at $39 that I left because it was literally pea-soup green with flecks of yellow all topped off by navy stripes. They also had a neon pink striped Charvet. I completely understand why those were at TJ Maxx. The LB and Drakes, however, will hopefully bring me a bit of needed cash.

The body of a shirt is the easiest thing to have fixed by your tailor.

Lanvin Paris made in Italy and Cerutti ties worth my while??

Only had 2 pairs both 40s. I would have bought more but there were only these 2 pairs. I just found out yesterday they had mmm and I guess all the stuff was already cleared out.

Dries van noten and helmut Lang. Grab these right? Seriously, in store now.

Yes, definitely.

Lang has some sheen to it. Seems pretty even so I'm hoping it's supposed to be this way.

A couple interesting Charvet ties, which I'm keeping...

Picked up a Filson waxed cotton jacket and moleskin liner. I think its their Foul Weather coat. Size L. Available.

Major regrets on passing up a Ferragamo double breasted cashmere overcoat today. They had it priced higher than anything I've ever seen in this store (where I thrifted my NWOB, $2 Lobbs), but it was half price day and I could have had it for $50. I'm going back tomorrow and see if they'll still consider letting me have it for that price (or maybe less).

Everybody welcome my boy here from TX. He's a good kid and this is certainly an awesome first find for the thread.

And while these ties aren't available, feel confident in trading with him.
