dude it's pretty goddamned rare for a used suit to sell on ebay for upwards of $400, irrespective of who the seller is.

i think this thread has inflated everyone's idea of what all these finds are worth in the real world. yeah, the occasional find (see here for examples) ends up going for big bucks on ebay, but by and large, everyone is selling their suits for $200 and under, usually in the $50-100 range. (i've checked). the problem is that dudes come on here and brag "YEAH DUDES, I JUST FLIPPED A CRICKETEER PINSTRIPED ORPHAN FOR $350" but those same guys keep their mouths shut when their BBGF suit ends up selling for $19 (i've checked). this self-selection that happens with the brag posts gives everyone an inflated sense of what things are selling for in the real world.

in the end, this is all just used pieces of wool with some dude's piss stain.

happy new year fellas!

Haha, very true. The wife and I spotted Barry from Storage Wars cruising through Beverly Hills in a roadster type car. Had a skull cap and those yellow sunglasses. Went by too quick for me to snap a pic.

I did see these two beauties on the street outside our restaurant. Probably nothing to the locals but sure was something to see for a Minnesotan.

Well, I have read about 50% of this thread over the last two months. I have thrifted for a short while before this and it was really interesting stumbling upon this as a wealth of knowledge. It has definitely opened my eyes.

I am surprised how many decent things i find here in Australia. Never any decent shoes though. These have been in the last two weeks or so. I find it almost impossible to find things that fit perfectly. I run into some very nice pieces and generally just flip them.

Awesome, My first Brioni find, Pity its far too big, i thought i'd cop incase anyone was interested 46 R - Available.

Hard to capture with my iPhone and Crap lighting but this is about a dark Charcoal. I can't figure out if they are very faint red/pink/light purple strips, but its only up close that you discern them.

This first image give a good indication of the color, rich dark navy, including the faint light and mid blue stripes. Full working cuffs too! the buttons are all different patterns, could be horn??

Of course, the very next coat was it's colleague. Another Zegna / Raffaele Caruso piece. This one is 100% wool. And a very dark navy.  52 R (Euro) - Available.

The first image shows the color very well. Full working cuffs. Not sure about the buttons but they are all different and could very well be horn or similar.

This is crazy, the attention to detail is amazing. These photos don't do it any justice. It is unfortunately far too large for me, so - Available. Some quick measurements are 18.5" from top of should across the back to top of shoulder. 34" from top of collar running down the back to bottom of jacket. 25" from top of of should to bottom of sleeve.
