+1000 that's the same address as the best Cincinnati thrift store, what a coincidence.

1) Email rl_store (hes a forum member, dont remember ID though) and give him a heads up what your looking for to see if he can get it and/or keep an eye out for you. I've spoken to him before and a nice guy

2) Buy those and have them recut. Even if its $150 for the pants and $150 for the tailor thats $300 for a BAD ASS suit. Totally worth it IMO.

3) Who made the suit? Saint Andrews or someone else? If you have all the info off the tag contact the manufacture and see about getting a replacement pair of pants for the ones you "damaged". May set you back a few hundred but again worth it. You can also take it to a higher end department store that sells RLPL and inquire about a replacement pair of pants.

I believe it's Chester Barrie  althoughit doesn't say made in England. I will post pics of the maker tag later to verify.

In other news, is this the Chester Barrie to watch for?

Still on holiday break so I took some time this morning after a doctor's appointment to hit a thrift after no luck yesterday. I stumbled upon the most interesting/weird/creepy person I've ever seen before. He looked like a retarded version of this guy from Raising Arizona. Black sweats, black Nike long sleeve running shirt (though clearly this guy doesn't exercise), black shin pads, black sneakers, silver Elvis glasses, a white Elvis figurine he somehow turned into a belt buckle, and a HEAD of a baby alligator he was wearing from a silver necklace. I couldn't stop staring.

No big pick ups, but I like what I got:
2 x very recent Peter Blair ties

Of the pieces that comprise my monstrously bloated wardrobe, I can now say that--despite spending hundreds of hours in Toronto thrifts--ZERO items were purchased at a thrift store.

Not withstanding my cheeky comment from earlier, I still contend that almost any thrift store anywhere will yield fine results with the application of knowledge and patience. I know deadboy is in the GTA and he's said here that 80% of his finds come from his local Value Village. True, mega hauls are something you'll see from LA and only a few other places but decent pieces to flip, to wear and to trade are out there, you just need to look and know what you're looking at.

The real Brioni, from a regular GW,  was pretty shocked when I opened the jacket and saw the Brioni label, going to the bay with this one.

It's for the larger gentleman, EU 60L US 50L, in excellent shape, two button, unvented Navy, pants pleated, cuffed 44 (fully let out) X 30

Also, same GW, first ever seersucker, Brooks Brothers, like new, slim 40R 34x28 (w/5" extra) flat front,

It fits me, but I don't know if I would wear a seersucker. Interest?

Anyone like Carhartt? There was a bunch of NWT Carhartt at the one place I hit today. There was a jacket, overalls, popover, and rubberized raincoat (all pictured). There was also a chambray shirt (size 15) and 2 pairs of work pants (green and tan, both 34 waist) all NWT but no pics. They're all at the high-end of thrift prices and I'll proxy if someone wants.

Also, does this tag ring any bells?

I hit Marshall's while I was out and this was on a Made in Italy Rugby RL SC. Gray herringbone I think with very modern styling (thin lapels, high gorge). $150 + tax if anyone wants a proxy.

I almost pulled the trigger on a RLPL shirt there for $100. Also saw Brioni and Zegna shirts there for $129 apiece but the RLPL was nicer IMO.

^^^ Tag looks like Caruso from what I can tell, may want someone else to double verify however.

Nice find on the Brioni and this BB suit would be gold on eBay in say May, if you can wait.

That's what I was thinking too, but I'm not so good at tag ID except for HF. It's just weird that it was on a Rugby RL SC.
