Happy holidays, man!

Some minor adjustments at the tailors and they should be good to go! Thanks again!cheers.gif

While not thrifts I spent some time at our Last Call because NM is leaving us in January and found some good deals. Picked up the below Montedoro chino SC for $90 and a Belvest Linen SC for $150. Sadly they're both summer style jackets but I couldn't resist!

After doing some rough fits at home the gorge seems much higher on me than on the model below... will have to see if it works with me

It's tips like this that make me read this thread at 8am. I am smarter than I was when I woke up; thank you!

I owe PM replies to a few people. Sorry, working on it...

Everybody that I owe packages to, if you haven't got them yet, I'm sorry for being such a slacker. This time of year is the most hectic for me. I'll be heading back to the windy city tomorrow and have your stuff in the mail on Friday. shog[1].gifpeepwall[1].gif

You obviously knew enough to take a picture of it so look for hand rolled edges and go from there.

frown.gif I saw the machine rolled edges too so I had to ask

You can also google on how to spot a fake. Two tells are the hand rolling (how it's done and what side it's on) and the how the Hermes name appears.

Thanks! Great and insightful site

I've never seen the split rail gant line before. Definitely not vintage Gant and definitely not new. Which would land it in the crappy era of Gant. If it's cheap and seems like real leather, I would say pick up. Otherwise, Pass. Pretty cool piece though, would be interested if it were my size.

Been hectic and have a ton of stuff to post up, plus thrifted gifts from family. Had a couple questions about some things, any help would be much appreciated.

Tai Pan Row shirt- Are these worth picking up? What is the Hong Kong tailor's reputation for quality? Seems to be a well made shirt.

Also two Burberry items I picked up, wasn't positive about authenticity so I figured I'd check here if anybody could tell.

HK tailors are not good for flip but great for self wear. Not an expert here but that Burberry shirt looks legit.

That's what I figured, shirt fits perfectly so good there. The Burberry polo I'm guessing is legit, the sweater/shirt tags look okay to me, but I'm doubting it. The Burberry text on the shirt being cut off mid-word doesn't seem right.
