I never implied otherwise, broham. was merely agreeing with acosby's suspicion that none of your finds are thrifted, which is, of course, just fine.
Perhaps... I'm a tough fit because I have roughly the figure of your avatar.
If taken in at the waist a bit and sleeves shortened, I think it would be right, or at least closer than the next size down.
massive shout out to the cap!!!
we traded for a prl cotton sportcoat (these things fit me like a glove!) and he sent me an extra super recent bb tie and a pair or monogram cufflinks and tuxedo studs
the sportcoat and tie should be perfect for the pebble beach pro am I am going to!
also pictured from trades is a crocodile tralfagar belt from caseyfud and oft seen apcs from barrel, bucks are ebay and shirt is vintage gant "hugger fit" thrifted by me
Still catching up on the thread... being on staycation and not being online has put me pretty far behind.
First here's the HF with LP Storm System bomber I found a week or so ago after cleaning the spills off and getting it dry cleaned. My GF says it's too yellow for my complexion, but it's too awesome to let go. Suede lining and under the collar, riri zippers, nice horn buttons

I had a chance to hit a couple places Saturday and had a pretty good morning. I picked up this gray tweed. I tried to find a reason not to but failed. It's got a lot of hand stitching, pick stitching, 3 nice patch pockets, full canvassing, the turn-under collar fabric, etc. and fits perfectly. Anyone ever seen this tag?Warning: Spoiler! I found 4 HF suits over the 2 spots, 1 38R and 3 40R (all available). This one's a 38R HF for Gieves & Hawkes navy pinstripe flannel with pick stitchingWarning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
This one's a nice light glen plaid 40RWarning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
This one's not the softest fabric, but it's a solid navy staple suit sized 40RWarning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
This one's a really nice 40R 6x1 DB gray flannel pinstripe in excellent condition, HF for GievesWarning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
This one's my favorite find by far and it fits except needing to be let out around the middle... and maybe a bit short in the sleeves, but I can put up with it or get it let out at the shoulders. Silk / linen in a faded cool blue with pick stitching everywhere, hand stitching everywhere, surgeon's cuffs, patch pockets, completely unstructured, hand-made buttonholes, black MOP buttons... But check out where it's madeWarning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
A nice pair of HF trousers, around my size so I may keep
A NWT Pringle lambswool scarf
An Orvis belt... Not sure what this type of belt is called with the 2 pieces on each side
Finally a W&G shirt with a small bit of damage but worth picking up I think.. Also has patches on the elbowsWarning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Here's the stuff from my SS package from TheWGP. A HSM Made in Italy car coat, very nice but a bit too big unfortunately. 2 Bunce Brothers sweaters that fit perfectly... The green is that old Cashmere that PTO talks about that's way better than current cashmere. The red is lambswool and I'm gonna wear it tomorrow for Christmas.
Some very nice ties. The Viyella is a cool cotton / wool blend.Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
And what's this? A Kiton 5 fold? NICE!Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Bad pictures of thrift fits from last week before I started my staycationWarning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Boglioli SC, Borrelli shirt from CaseyFud, RLPL tie, Saks cashmere pants
Bunce Bros cashmere sweater from TheWGP, thrifted BB button down, bow tie from CapnWes, HF made in Italy cords from eBay, TBNY shoes
Finally, anyone seen this tag before? It was on a very well made SC, but I'd never heard of it.
Merry Christmas everyone!
sorry to again de rail the thread but...
throughout my trades and dealings with all of you I have acquired quite a few nice items (most of them shirts) that just don't quite fit, mostly the sleeves are too short or a couple other problems but I was wondering if you all would be okay with me selling them to afford some modern tailor mtm shirts in a couple staple colors and a couple other items. I didn't trade/buy these from you with the intent of flipping them for a quick profit they just have for one reason or another not panned out. I would hate to upset one of you guys by you browsing eBay and coming upon one of the items you traded with me being sold.
so do I have your approval?
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE!
If one of said shirts happens to be that Canali I sent you - go nuts, as far as I am concerned, it's 100% yours!
