Had a decent day today, got a very nice Willis & Geiger Horse hair braided belt size 34, some nwt Orvis pants, etc.

And also my first pair of Alden's.  I'm gonna need some help identifying these, they appear to be Alden Shell   looks like the size is 11 A/C is that correct?  The inside markings are fairly worn so it is hard to make much out.  Here are some pictures

Leather jackets? Noooo. Never seen one. But let me tell you, they have tons of stuff by Stafford, Haggar, Van Huesen... Very desirable. I recommend buying up as much of that as possible.

Also keep a special lookout for this old label:

I've only owned Sierra Designs stuff from the early to mid 90s. It was good as well. But not like it was before. My uncle had a Sierra Design bivi tent from the way early 80s (single wall GoreTex). That thing was amazing...

This one's good too. peepwall[1].gif

FYI - Purchased last Saturday at NM Dallas. Had a lot of stock with the same label in the store. Granted this one was on clearance for 50% off, but still available in retail stores.

I usually try to avoid the thrifts on the weekend like the plague, especitally when they are having their 50% off Christmas sales. But I decided to brave it anyway and hit up one spot. Came away with a few things. Dooney & Burke purse for my wife.

I never pick up Stacy Adams, but when I do, they are vintage deadstock, made in the USA and $1.50 in my size. Whenever I go over to my parents with a nice pair of shoes on, my dad asks if they are Stacy Adams, and proceeds to tell me that everybody back in the day wore Stacy Adams and Weeguns. When I see him tomorrow, I can say that, yes, they are in fact Stacy Adams.

I picked this up because the leather was nice and I though it would be fun to try and rehab and it was only $2.

Love it, Spoo!

I've been staying with the in-laws out of state for the holidays. No time for thrifting unfortunately. I did get a chance to duck in to a TJ Maxx, though. Walked out with three cashmere Luciano Barbera knit ties, clearance priced. Left a Charvet and a fourth LB cashmere.

Interesting, although it is the older label, guess they had dead stock they never got rid of.
