Why would you make this available? I found the exact same shirt a few months ago and flipped it for a little more than $70.

I just purchased a 100% cashmere dark blue Sulka blazer with an incredibly soft drape, which doesn't need alterations. I'm extremely pleased with myself.

Wow, didn't realize those did so well.

Jacket: Caruso (bought from the Mainy/DM7 extravaganza. Immediately my favorite jacket)

Shirt: LEC (bought on sale)

Sweater: Byford (thrifted)

Tie: Paul Stuart wool (thrifted)

Also, let me +1 to Matty's Barbera jacket pickup . Absolute, 100% awesomeness.

Tagged 40R. Ideally, I'm probably a 41 in Luciano Barbera jackets, but still fits pretty damn well.

40R. I'm 6'2 and any shorter and it would be too short for my taste. I was looking for a sportcoat for this price for months now, so when I saw this I couldn't pass it up. Great fit, gorgeous pattern, unstructured. Perfect. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Thanks dude. I'm about to take an extended break from SF, so I finally cleared all my "to be flipped" pieces so this was 100% paid for with eBay dollars.

Love the hunting sweater. Could do without the crotch shot. Just my $.02

My bad. I meant to post that one for the WYHI crowd.

Being home for the holidays is nice, but more importantly means access to stores I don't normally hit. tongue.gif Didn't get to everywhere I wanted to go today, but I'll be back. Still a nice lil haul if I do say so myself. Passed on a ton of horrible looking 1980s-style ties (Zegna, Canali, Fendi, one other), a very pretty basic J Press with a horrible stain up top I didn't notice at first, and a 17.5 Zegna shirt marked up to $14 in the boutique section with a small stain (low on the shirt, would've bought for myself if 18-18.5, not gonna bother trying to flip with a stain at that price tho). Almost grabbed a Chaps cardigan for myself (same store as the stained Zegna and J Press, and the Canali), but the line was ungodly and with nothing else didn't bother. At another couple stores, however, some finds (ties all at one, shirts the other).

Shirts (available): Thomas Pink (16.5x36), Zegna (16.5)
Ties (not available): Bullock & Jones, Armani, RT Best of Class, Bolgheri (see below)

Now, does anyone know the quality of Bolgheri? Not Villa Bolgheri, and not Bulgari (as my dad kept thinking I was saying). Can't find good info on Google because of Villa Bolgheri. Even if it's a cheapo I like it and it feels decent, just wondering.

FYI:
Add a dash (-) before a word or site to exclude all results that include that word.

search: Bolgheri suit -villa and you begin to get a few relevant hits.

Northern Virginia can be such a cruel mistress.  First shop I went to today had several suits that I liked (not grails by any stretch, but decent enough for someone starting to build a wardrobe), all the coats fit wonderful, the pants...not so much.  On to the next shop, I found several Brooks Brothers 1818 orphans and this orphan:

The coat fit me like a glove.  Wonderful cloth and high armholes to boot! I couldn't find a thing wrong with it. Pressed, clean, no holes or stains...and unfortunately no pants.  Even now, I can't get it out of my mind how well it fit.  I searched for several hours for the pants, ultimately turning up lint. Probably only the second or third Zegna suit I've seen in the wild and the first that fit me (not an ebayer, just trying to fill my wardrobe out). I don't know which is worse, not finding anything or finding something great that's an orphan.  The worst part though was that had I found the pants, it would have cost me around $20 or $30.  /sigh.
