I would expect to see a flood of those hitting the thrifts. Already marked down 50% at local target.

Don't know if you watch the show Revenge, but Target/Neiman Marcus did a cross campaign with the show last month and this blazer was worn by one of the characters. If it were a large I would be all over it.

Crappy picture from the show:

Also, you can still get it from the Target website: Thom Brown Blazer

Two medium Orvis knits with elbow patches. First Orvis I have seen in Columbus. Might give one to my brother in law, but these are available if anyone is interested.

Ties are JCrew on the right and:

Another first for me in Columbus. Unfortunately has a small spot I didn't notice in store, but I may be able to either get it out or wear it under sweaters.

Shopping cart pic, Brooks Brothers sports coat, tag dates it 2005, 42s which fits me really well so not available:

Thanks to everyone in this thread for the knowledge. So many of the things I'm finding I wouldn't have looked twice at before reading.

I apologize to the person that sent my secret Santa gift - my vacation plans took me out of town before the gift arrived, so I will not be able to properly thank you until the new year. I am eagerly anticipating opening it, though.

Anyway... Been a long time since I had the chance to really get out, but today was worth the wait:

(Everything is new with tags. No measurements yet since I forgot to bring a tape measure.)

Brioni ties

Two RLBL glen plaid SCs - Anthony cut - 40r & 42r

Peter Johnston x Oxxford for Saks Sartoriale

Brioni! (38R)

I can't find a date on this, which is unusual for these.

Mid to heavy weight kersey wool, black, US Navy Bridge Coat (basically a long pea coat usually worn by officers)

3/4 lined, canvassed construction. Evident that it did have some officers bars on the shoulders, no major damage where the pins were located.

That's not a seam split. As far as I have been able to find in the past on these, it would be for passing a sword through to the scabbard awaiting under the coat.

700

The flap on the inside when the sword opening is not in use...

The center vent has a double buttoned enclosure to open far enough for the scabbard to stick out the back.

Oh, if anyone is sitting on a thrifted Brioni bow tie or two in gift-able condition for an, er, flamboyant friend.

PM me please. Thanks

The brighter and more colorful, the better.

I have a hard time finding jackets, so I settled for this one. Would you guys wear this pattern?

I found a Rugby RL rugby for myself, and a bunch of great outdoor gear by Patagonia, NWT Arc Teryx women's running jacket, OR, Mountain Hardware, Ibex, REI and Sierra Designs stuff for ebay or store credit at my local store that sells used stuff.

Hellz yeah, I would wear that pattern!

Also found these club monaco 32x32 pants. I really want to keep them. How much can the waist of pants be taken in?

A tailor should be able to take the waist in for no more than $15.

Hellz yeah! I wear my NnF 1.5 lbs. of denim along with my Levi's chambray shirt, bay are hat, and chucks. Not the denim douche looking guy but an indie thrifter guy.

Hey guys, not sure if any of you likes Ray Ban Wayfarers but I picked up a pair of 2140 50mm from amazon.com for $100 shipped. Be careful though, if you don't directly order from amazon.com, chances of you getting fakes are relatively high. If you do decide to order a pair, order directly from amazon.com and not from the third party sellers. Sorry, I bought the last pair of the originals but there should be quite a few pairs of the 2132, new Wayfarers left.

I've been researching on how to tell fake Wayfarers from the real deal. I'm not an expert but I'm pretty confident in telling a crappy faked from real.

Enjoy and happy holidays!

Nope...$299 to a good SF regular. Made his day, and made my day. I know I could have gotten much much more, but hey...it's Christmas. It was 50% of my BIN price, which is the same deal I offer to everyone here.

I think he was asking a different question.

That depends on where your starting point and ending point are. You want the pockets to be roughly the same distance from the midpoint seam as from the side seam. You can cheat that in at the midpoint seam, but go too far and it starts looking dumb. A guy like me, you've got some margin for error, and can take in roughly 2-3 inches. The slimmer you are, the less margin for error you have. If you're less than a 30 waist, I'd say two things: a) these aren't for you; and 2) find yourself a ham sandwich and a Vermonster.

If his profit is measured in orders of magnitude (as I suspect it is), why would he care? Quick sale high margin is every entrepreneur's dream.
