Oh snap! Blind as a bat here! facepalm.gif

Raw selvedge is a BIG DEAL!!!!!!!! biggrin.gif Yes, those appear to be selvedge by the "bounded self edge" and the red thread running through them on the seams.

Damn, I've always thought the "For over 1xx years" was always a slogan! Never thought it was actually the year the jeanz were made! Makes sense now! Knowledge FTW! icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

This is a few days late, but I wanted to thank everyone who gave me Turkey/bespoke and Rome/thrift advice. I'm going to start poking around in Ulus on Saturday for bespoke places--my terrible Turkish is going to make this an adventure, but what the hell. Çok teşşekkurler everyone, and a very happy tax donation thrift season one and all.

Another box held ties... A sweet BB makers tie that in a color range that my tie collection was lacking, and a freakin Brioni that is the secks.
Last but not least, a pack of polaroid 690 film that expired 12/08... Should be useable, and best of all, will rock some unpredictable results due to its age. To answer your question Ken, I have at least 5 cameras that'll take this kind of film.
icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif Glad the blazer fits. I was kicking myself because literally the day after I sent out your box I stumbled into some shirts your size. Glad you can put the film to use. Enjoy and be sure to show me the results!

By the way, can anyone date this shirt based on the label? I've been Googling a little bit this morning without luck.

* Edit: Oops, spoke too soon, just found a match here: http://forums.filmnoirbuff.com/viewtopic.php?pid=229268. It's 1960s.

Gorgeous pants man.  Love that chalkstripe pair.  My Barbera pants I got from Ocooney way back when are still among my favorite trous.  So well made.

Way too big for me, but and excellent condition BB 346 for the long armed, 16½-36/37 (measures 16¾ in neck, tts on sleeves) regular fit,  cost ($8) plus shipping, or trade for 16½-32 slim fit...close ups are true color, nice light tan beige....

I'm thinking this sweater is older than dirt. Anyone know the approximate date for this Spalding Label? Similar ones seem to date from 1900s-1920s
