So far... Texas.

Here's the difference:  When I thrift in LA, I thrift anywhere from 6-14 hours in one day.

Here, we're talking 1-2 hour trips!

Wow, 14 hours?! And I thought 5-6 was long! I bet there's a big difference in how crowded the stores are and the amount of flippers as well.

That was a peek behind DM7's curtain... Dude works hard to get the results he does. Hey if you find any Texas sized stuff out there, let me know!

I hit up the nearby shop today. The usual vultures were circling, and there wasn't much to be had. Almost picked up a plain tan cotton Jack Spade shacket figuring someone here might want it for peanuts. Carried the damn thing around for 20 minutes, figuring if I found anything else, I'd get it. Well, didn't find anything else.

please excuse the quick taken in the dark phone pics...

Found these two Isiasa shirts today, really bummed they're not my size.
I love the collar, it's got a great roll to it. I'm going to have to scout ebay for one in a 15.5 (these are 17).
They're actually in good condition, aside from being starched to a shine I know the photo makes them look all brown and splotchy.

Hickey Freeman flight coat, I remembered AlanC writing about these, so I figured it was worth a purchase.

Two recent Brooks Brothers herringbone tweeds, both 46

Here's the Gucci tuxedo from yesterday, any idea if it's authentic? or just terrible?

details: Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

oh and took a flyer on this:

fake?

It is by Zegna (The Gucci). Both are not fake. V2 is not very desirable.

I don't get it. Is this a Shawshank reference?

Gucci is legit, Zegna made.

Versace looks fine to me, but I'll let others chime in.

Have to go pick up a friend, but here's what's not photod yet:

20 pairs of pants: Inco, Zanella, Sulka...

More Blazers: Zegna Su Misura

Shoes: Prada, Bally NWOB

I left that Zegna at St. Paul's Thrift on Saturday due to all of the moth holes. There were a bunch of Zegna and Brooks Brother jackets that were all eaten up and stained. Surprised that you did not get that tailored silk tux, looked like a 44R, or some of the jackets with tails. I have a restraining order not allowing me to thrift any additional formal wear until I sell at least four tuxes. Saturday was half price at all of the Dallas Goodwills and by 4 pm they looked like bombs had exploded inside. (Even more than normal) biggrin.gif

Yeah I found some Versace V2 today but I left it because it was just a plain brown checked shirt. Could have been a Van Heusen without the label.
