The official thrift/discount store bragging thread - Page 3835

Today:

Brooks Brothers, Ben Silver, Zegna, unlabeled Italian wool:

Found 8 Brooks Brothers white shirts, in my size.  A few had issues, so I left with 3 of them.

Orvis with french cuffs?  Thats... different.

Ever misread a label and spend 10 minutes on your smartphone trying to figure out what the heck it means?  It was No. 1 Savile Row, rather than "Not Savile Row".  Noob moment.  (unless its a fake?  That would suck.)

HUGE shout-out to dustinmyself for an excellent trade involving a sick Zegna suede jacket for my father for Christmas. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Have catching up on the thread to do, but my heart goes out to our CT members and anyone else affected by yesterday's tragedy.

How does Oxxford usually do, trading and selling? I found a couple of suits and a sportcoat but left them because I wasn't sure about them.

Suits do well, sport coats are ok.  if they are recent and in good shape, you should definitely make money.

That depends.  Were they 44R or 46R?  If so, they trade/sell terribly, but I suppose I would be willing to take them off your hands for cost plus shipping...

Found a cool Luciano Barbera Wool/Cashmere Blazer, a Dunhill Tailors Sea Island Cotton Shirt, Geoff Nicholson tie paisley. Very cool stuff however the madhouse store was making it hard to get around the volume flippers whom decided the whole rack of New/Mint Banana Republic dress shirts were worth $8.99 a piece. Atleast I snuck a Coach Poppy Iphone 5 case from under there nose.

God Bless Everyone affected by the CT shooting..near Christmas none the less.....let's bring our real human values back to the youth of America..

Haha. They were 42 or 44, don't remember which, but unfortunately I didn't pick them. I guess I should've.

Confession: I never actually listened to that "Thrift Shop" song even though it's been seven years since people first started posting it here.

Anyone got a link to ID the age of Woolrich? No Made in USA tag or any other tags than shown. Late 70's maybe?
