Mad, mad props to Catside on a little Barbour for Barbour trade action. Finally got my hands on the jacket today and it is awesome. I'll probably send it to them for re-proofing just to start ownership off with a know baseline, rain performance wise. I'm so stoked.

I think you'll find that my jacket might be a little older(did some research and it might be from the late 90's), with a more simplistic set of tags, but that thing is like new waxy, it stands up on its own. And the zipper is still bright. Previous owner must have never worn it.

Stayed up all night shooting the meteor shower, and figured hey I'm awake, might as well hit some shops in OC at opening. Nice having the shop to myself, but there was absolutely fuckle to be had.

Also, CT guys check in and let us know you and yours are alright.

Def shell, number verifies it too. The creases are a bit atypical in that pic, but they are def shell.

^ Happened next town over...sick to my stomach. My wife works at a school a couple miles away. Scary times.

I am sorry to hear that, but happy that your wife is safe. My thoughts are with all of those families grieving tonight. Makes me sick to my stomach too.

Terrible terrible picture, but Pendleton Green/Blue Tartan Plaid Blazer. No size and haven't done measurements yet, but fits my 40 frame big, so likely 42 or so. (Available)

 

 

 

Robert Graham 40R- I hate almost everything he does, but can't help but love this jacket. Appears to be brand new, cropped sleeves, $5.

Les Copains 100% cashmere sweater Made in Italy. I don't know anything about this brand so info would be much appreciated. Figured that at $3.50 I couldn't go wrong. Are 100% cashmere sweaters something that should always be picked up? Is this a brand that should be picked up? Not available for now.

3rd bomber jacket I found this month. This one is a real one though. 1968 G-1

I don't wear braces often, but I needed a new pair for black tie stuff. For my wife (and my) birthday in November, I promised her a Viennese ball. They're all white tie with a black tie minimum, so I had to get a few things together. Low light + iPhone = navy braces They're definitely black.

On a somber note, my thoughts go out to anyone in the Connecticut area impacted by the recent tragedy.

haha, that is a good point. In Florida, jackets often come off pretty quick at an event. We had a COLD front today. Low 60's...haha

I'm jealous, we're at -2C right now.

Today I had a guy at a shop call me a "classy guy" and complimented my briefcase. I thanked him and noticed his cracked Sambas. He continued, "I would guess that it's a Salvatore Ferragamo briefcase." I was a bit surprised and said "No, it's a Porsche Design." He said "Ahh, I knew it looked expensive. I still have a couple of Ferragamos at home, still in their protective bags. I should get rid of them soon." I really wanted to tell him to just give them to me. I'm still not sure if he is just some sort of eccentric wealthy guy or what, but I've met him before....he has tons of antiques and invited me to take a look before his next sale. He's definitely a bit odd, but interesting nonetheless.

I enjoyed being in Ireland and being able to just grab and try on samples from every brand- wound up with Hanly, Hanna had too full a cut for me, and the bill of their slim fit looked weirdly long to me. There were a couple others too, but they were mostly too full. The Hanly was a good bit fuller than Hanna's slimmer one, but it was all in proportion to my eye.


Pendleton things generally sell well, though I haven't tested that on a tie. And while I have one I could try it with, I'm not gonna, it's mine.
