Finally found some items that can stand up with the clothes other people are always posting on here:
Ermenegildo Zegna - Mitch Cashmere Coat - Brand-spanking new. $10. The woman at the register said I was lucky they missed paper-tagging it higher. Found it selling on the Neiman Marcus site for $2300. So, I was...

Interesting. I thrifted this exact coat (color and size) about 6 months ago. NWOT as well. I believe Klobber thrifted a tan version not too long ago as well. Who knew recent Zegna cashmere coats grew on thrift store trees!

Ok, here is my first submission to the WAYWN Thrift edition. Be nice. Also excuse the crap pics and the wrinkles after a day at work.

All thrifted :D

SC: 100% flax Polo made in Italy
Shirt: RLPL
Pants: Cotton Zegna by Incotex
Belt: Polo
Shoes: AE Strawfut

Awesome fits man. Interestingly, I received almost that exact jacket in the mail today (Italian made PRL 100% flax, 3/2, but in black) from another SFer.

All the long sleeve shirts are off the racks, the suits and sport coats aren't being replaced as they slowly disappear and trousers have been replaced by shorts.

BTW, dudes: I was talking with my neighbor the other day, who volunteers at the local. She says when they get overcoats and suits during the summer they just donate them on to GW and Sally -- sometimes just the jacket. I wonder whether that's another explanation for the orphan phenom.

So what you're saying is that I need to hit it hard so I can find several nice Khaki's, Summer Suit's, nice Spring Navy Blazer .... ASAP :(...

...oh yea if any of you have that stuff in my size PM ME! (sizes in signature)

That's pretty much what's happening here with the advent of spring at two of my four regular stops. All the long sleeve shirts are off the racks, the suits and sport coats aren't being replaced as they slowly disappear and trousers have been replaced by shorts. No outerwear is going out, either. The down side is obvious. On the up side, I spend half as much time thrifting--doesn't take long to check shoes, belts, ties and bric brac. Come September, however, there will be a flood of pent-up treasure released all at once. Happens every year.

Battistoni jacket - Excellent condition. The tag says 2004. One of the pockets was never opened, the others were only part opened. There's a very small section in one of the sleeve seams that's coming undone. Not sure how much of a deal it is for a tailor to get in there and fix it.

Brooks Brothers jacket - Made in Italy - Light Green (hard to tell in pics). Trying to find the maker via the FTC RN# database. Is the RN# any of those on the tag (see pic)? Those are the only numbers I can find. Nothing prefaced with "RN".

RLPL Keaton collar shirt - Also brand new.

Brioni, H. Huntsman & Sons, and Ermenegildo Zegna ties

and another colorful shirt

:slayer::slayer:

Awesome haul!

Forgot to bring my wallet when I went out tonight :brick:

Had to leave behind:

—RL Purple Label cords
—Willis and Geiger khakis
—Zegna twill pants
—Coach wingtips
—Jack Purcells, white leather, my size and lightly worn

I'm especially bummed about missing out on the Purcells. They'd be a great spring/summer shoe.

That would be my best day of the month.

+1 - awesome finds darkmatter7!

Does anyone know anything about a brand simply called Sartoria?  Maybe someone can identify the maker based on the label?  I can't find anything on Google, but as far as quality goes these are definitely on par with Brioni, Isaia, Purple Label, etc.  They have outstanding fabric and there is some hand stitching.  Size is 38 with double pleats if anyone is interested.

Also picked up my second ever Hermes and my first 6-fold.

I seem to remember something about Sartoria... but I may be thinking of something different, like La Vera Sartoria. Check out the secrets to ID the maker thread yet for label comparisons? If they were just a bit bigger I'd be interested. :/ That's a really nice Hermes, too - heavy silk unless I miss my mark? Navy grenadine... wow. I saw a huge run of Paul Frederick ties recently but they were all made in China. :brick: Still checked the tags on every one just to be sure.

Had to pass on a Loro Piana shirt...in my size. I was going to buy it, but decided to try it on first, and strangely, one shoulder fit right, while they other hung over the shoulder onto my arm. Then I noticed the collar had these small shred marks around it like someone marked it as defective. Very sad; it would have made the day that much better.

Wow, a jacket like that is one of my all time personal grails for me to put in my closet... Zegna outerwear is underrated IMO. I have one of their tech jackets and it's really nice. Your other stuff is nice too - but I wanted to ask what the "shred marks" around the collar were - someone actually sliced it open or was it just excessive wear on the raised bump around the collar where fabric overlaps?

17 ties and 7 or 8 sportcoats, and a tuxedo. All fits perfectly and no alternation needed. Oh, almost forgot, a lower line Hartmann suitcase, for free!
I will post photos later tonight.

Nice! I never see luggage that doesn't say Samsonite or American Traveler. :p I might have to see if some ties can make it into that box, I didn't think you usually looked at ties!

Not what I'm saying at all. Around here, a suit is a suit is a suit is a suit--come fall, they put the flannels out next to the poplins, madras next to the Harris Tweed. Same thing with blazers/sport coats. If you're in need of wife beaters, t-shirts or super-crappy shorts, however, I'm your man. If you want damaged Brioni, I also find that--once in a blue moon.

That's hilarious if Brian just pm'd Narcissism about my Paul Fredrick tie.

Hell yeah Hermes is bragworthy.  Too clarify, I meant the 6-fold I found is not a bragworthy find...Paul Fredrick.

I think that PF tie is quite bragworthy 7 fold navy grenadine? Hell yeah, that is a grail tie.
