The official thrift/discount store bragging thread - Page 3821

Thrift finds from the other day. Nothing that'll make thrift find of the year, but a couple brand firsts, and some cool stuff.

T&A, Etro

700

RT 'Estate Bespoke' handmade shirt. 15 1/2, available for cost + shipping because why the hell not.

700

Canali navy orphan/potential blazer

700

Canali suit

700

And probably the coolest find... Prada poly/cotton suit, fully canvassed, made by Belvest.

The thrift gods were throwing humor my way today...

I finally gave in and bought an Irish Aran sweater on Ebay. It came in the mail today at work. This evening, I went to my favorite local Savers and found, of all things, an LL Bean Aran Sweater. Same pattern as the one I bought. Not the same size, but I thought it was fitting. The LL Bean will be on Ebay shortly. It will easily pay for the sweater I bought, and then some... Ah, the little things in life.

Seconded for Nifty Fifty. I love mine.

Also just went to special showing of Gangster Squad. Do not go see if you expect a high level of sartorial prowess. Go see if you expect a decent shoot em up and an awkward scene where Nick Nolte looks like he could be Josh Brolin's father.

Also if anyone has a used DSLR camera perferably made in the last 5-7 years I would be interested in purchasing! I will buy close to Ebay prices as it is a Christmas present. Thanks !

I highly recommend stepping outside of your comfort zone and hitting up the local pawn shops for great cameras at sensational prices. Don't forget to dicker. I've found that those folks will come significantly off their "sticker" prices on stuff.

Best Dressed. Of course, if the competition for the award is stiff and one of the others has a better chance, play the odds but decades after my school days, looking back at a yearbook and seeing BD under my name would be quite satisfying.

Oh man. Nice find! I'm still ISO my first Pantherella.
