So you're saying I can feed my quality yet slightly damaged clothing items to Spoo and he'll cut me in?

Yes, yes you can sir.

You can feed your slightly damaged quality items to Brianpore and he'll cut you in

(not to step on the great one's toes or anything).

The internets a large place my man. Go for yours!

I'm not in Spoo's league. Not even close.

:bigstar:

Also picked up my second ever Hermes and my first 6-fold.  The brand is not bragworthy, but its still a $90 handsewn tie.  Plus I've been looking for a solid navy tie for a longgggg time.  Both of these ties are NOT AVAILABLE.

Hermes not brag worthy?

zomg its a navy 7 fold grenadine. everyone go crazy now.

Yeah he did, but I misquoted ick's original post so it was my bad.

It is a definitely PM worthy though. I am not sure I have seen a non-bespoke 7 fold grenadine. What are the chances of someone thrifting a 7 fold grenadine?

That's hilarious if Brian just pm'd Narcissism about my Paul Fredrick tie.

Found a Bugatchi Uomo dress shirt with interesting buttons that I like. Just tagged as a "L," so the neck will probably be a little too big for me.

On another note, I have started reading this thread from page 1 and have gotten to page 36.

Oh I thought you were acting sarcastically surprised. I had no idea a grenadine seven fold is so rare. Awesome!!

How many posts per page do you have it set it on your profile/account details?

That's a nice tie. I'd have that off the rack so fast.

Today, got a BB navy pinstriped suit, made in 2006, 42L. Just noticed that there's a tear along the seam of the right trouser pocket :(

Also, a Nordstrom blazer in black-on-black herringbone Loro Piana camel. Also, a purple linen/silk Polo shirt, a linen Banana Republic shirt for knocking around in this summer. and a shirt by Ferragamo. Real MOP buttons, vertical stripes. And a Talbott tie for a California store called At Ease.

Sorry my Photo Booth pix suck.

I'm not gonna keep the suit, though the avenue through which I will pass it on has yet to be determined. Dunno if will keep Ferragamo shirt, either.

For holes on the cuff, the solution is obvious:

That's pretty much what's happening here with the advent of spring at two of my four regular stops. All the long sleeve shirts are off the racks, the suits and sport coats aren't being replaced as they slowly disappear and trousers have been replaced by shorts. No outerwear is going out, either. The down side is obvious. On the up side, I spend half as much time thrifting--doesn't take long to check shoes, belts, ties and bric brac. Come September, however, there will be a flood of pent-up treasure released all at once. Happens every year.
