Fishy went thrifting!

No luggage to speak of... shirts though!

First two that I found a while ago and never got around to posting.

Everyone loves LB! I'd love it more if it fit me though :/

Casual shirt, but fits about 15.5 33-34

700700

A really quirky shirt, but in a good way. EXTREMELY well made. One of the buttons on the cuff is missing, but there are extra buttons still there- I'm just not confident in my ability to sew without butchering it :P Two buttons up top.

700''700

Now the two from today...

First the pretty cool. JV USA. Had a pair of brass Thrywitt collar stays in it too :)

700700

16.5 long (US 37)

And the big one... I popped my Cucinelli cherry!

700700

Size IT 52 (US 42)

All are available. I would really like to trade for cool shirts that actually fit me, as it gets kind of discouraging to find all this awesome stuff and have it all be a complete tent if I try to wear it ::/

Trying to get stuff that I can wear ties with. Steering clear of solid colors for now.

I found a Gant Woolster.  I am thinking 60's era. Might not be a good find but I really like the feel and history of these.

Went thrifting yesterday and today... four different stores. Still working out the noob kinks. Managed to not buy everything in the store. Pictures are all pretty awful. Would love a dress form.

First Hermes sighting... and they weren't ties. Both fit, but will probably flip to fill some bigger needs in my closet/ Pay for all those boxes that keep showing up.

These cuff buttons are sweet.

Awesome light jackets. Bad lighting... It's fairly powder blue.

Found the Banana Republic I was looking for... Keeping. You know it's old when it says "Made in the British Colony of Hong Kong"

Safari jacket. Pretty stoked as it fits me perfectly.

Last store I went to today had a lot of very tempting stuff. But they knew their brands for the most part and marked the prices up.

Jacket fits me well and was pretty much immaculate, but I'll need to have the pants lengthened. Cost me $40.

Hanger I used for the pictures make it look bad.

Either pretty recent or just in great shape HF suit. All around a little too big for me and not worth getting tailored. Available. Really like the windowpane on this one.

Ties. Passed on a bunch at the last store with the marked up prices.

Prada pants. Available.

Found this cool 1950's Sherlock Holmes book.

Picked up a few other pieces for myself that aren't too exciting as well as a Ralph Lauren black label black dress shirt, which I just saw had the top MOP button break in half after purchase. The buttons were all pretty beat up however. Probably should have left.

Yeah, I guess they wanted everyone to know they had enough money to run over to Worth Ave. and buy a Zegna suit on a whim. I still find it funnier that they'd leave the shoulder basting on--dudes walking around with solid suits and this little pinstripe on the shoulder, pockets, and vent.

I had already long been thrifting with my dad at age 9, and had found a Lanvin for Ferrari tie that I wore every year. I was obviously the best dressed person there.

Had time for one store today, which turned up this vintage LL Bean Baxter State Parka:

The content tag is illegible, otherwise I could do the research myself. I'm assuming it's from the USA-made era. Is it that 60/40 stuff I'm looking for?

Also found this Cannondale jersey. Size Large. Hitting eBay unless anyone here wants it. (proof of bike required via pics before I ship it off)

Wow, somebody recommended Borrelli, noting that it would most certainly not break the bank. Fucking one percenters...

I found a few interesting things in my run by a couple of local thrift shops.

The first one was a new (to me, anyway) brand of jeans. These things fit me really well and feel super-comfy. Thank you Savers!  Wörn Jeans, straight leg, "aged denim".

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

A Salomon long-sleeve light insulation layer. I'll either keep it or put it up on the Bay. Not sure yet. Need to figure out what I might be able to get for it, as I have fleece and long underwear up the wazoo around here...

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

A lovely Paradise Found aloha shirt, pretty funny given that I was wearing a different PF shirt today. Super cheap, and all mine. Still might sell it if I can get enough for it.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

And finally a Nike "Yellow Jersey" commemorating Lances "7th Tour de France win". I checked Ebay, and these things apparently still sell. There's no way I'd wear this thing...

I also found a couple of decent wool sweaters that will likely go up for sale. No pics of those, since I left them in the car...

Wait...is this IN ADDITION TO or AS A PART OF your 15 out of 18 Brioni SC score.

If so: fuck you.

If not: still fuck you, but less emphatically.

JK bro, I'm mad jelly.  Trial by fire, etc.

Found a Vineyard Vines Murray shirt in like-new condition in XL that actually fits me perfectly! Well the neck doesn' t, but I probably never would have worn it buttoned anyway. Wonder if the sizing was wonky and that's why someone gave it up (I'm usually a XXL).

Figured I'd show that off with today's find, and since it's Friday night and I'm sitting around bored, figured I'd shoot it with something other than my iphone. It was on a rack that had recently been brought out from the back, and had been passed up by the resident pros. As soon as I laid a hand on it I was like wait a minute...

It's so... Soft. (Click to show)

Picky picky

Dual exhaust

Ok so it's no ISAIA supermodel...

But at least she's got a full set of teeth.biggrin.gif

Available...
