Condition is quite amazing, even had the extra buttons still attached in the little baggy - I am not sure it was worn more than a couple times.

Blast, I've been looking for something identical to that! Excellent find.

Does anyone know if GW does any kind of central sourcing or do the donations collected end up at the store they're dropped off at? I seem  to find constant trash at some while others seem to always have a bit nicer selection.

Just curious

Decided to have the car towed home (50+ miles). The cost is $235. No brainer.

Wanted to square up with the Dealer for the service of looking at my car to identify that I has a cracked radiator (which I told them when I dropped it off) - $62.50.

BUT they don't except credit card transactions over the phone. They told me the towing company would pay for the charge and then charge me. I called the towing company to verify. NOPE, they don't do that. SO, I had to leave work and drive 2 hours to pay the bill before they would release the car to the tow truck. Damn that was stupid.

End Rant

I don't know if there is some sort of waiting period after signing up before you can use their services, so this may not work, but if you have to get a tow, it may be cheaper to sign up for AAA or something with membership being like $100-$150 and have them tow it. It'd be cheaper and you would have more tows in case of emergency.

It depends. I know there are central processing facilities, and I imagine they delegate to stores based on demand. I have found that I can eliminate plenty of GWs from my route simply because it's not worth the time, effort and gas money to drive there - as they have never turned up anything worth buying. Granted, there's always the possibility that I could miss out on something, but at the end of the day it wouldn't be worth the sheer number of times I'd have to go there in order to find that one occasional item worth picking up.

The car is already home now, but this was suggested by a co-worker yesterday. Looking into it. It seems like that might be the best option. The second best would be to purchase a tow truck. With 4 vehicles, I am soon becoming a platinum tow customer. Looking for a used tow truck at the thrifts today.

haha I know you were just worried about getting your car back home. While you're in there changing the radiator, may be a good time to replace the various radiator hoses. You can usually get coupons on stuff from advanced auto for like $30 of $75 or 15% off entire purchase or something. PM me if you need info on it.fistbump.gif

Gonna let me mechanic have at it and replace whatever he thinks needs to be replaced. It's my father in law, he doesn't do things if they don't need it...Plus he works for beer....cheap beer (Natty Boh). The dealer was probably going to charge me to change my blinker fluid and what not.

Wow, but are my eyes playing tricks on me or are those more bell bottomed than Lady Miss Kier's in the Groove is in the Heart video?

I am guessing I messed up and this is not the YSL I am looking for but for $1 I figured I'd take a shot, still a cool tie if it isn't.

Both.

Also, it's nice to check the "bad" stores every once and a while. Good stuff can show up and sit for a while due to the low thrifting pressure.

Heavily shrunk, lost all of their "raw" properties, all of their desirable color, and probably fit as well.

Never put jeans in the dryer!!

Hey, could be a good deal for some jeans though.

Dunno about all that.  The most I've sold anything J Press is right around a hundred.  Your eBay magic juju mileage may vary. Despite the prestige (ha) the brand carries and how well made some of the pieces are, people don't really bite.  Now if you find a Shaggy Dog sweater, well that's another story.

At store now...:/. Why does it look familiar.
