My brother found it, and it's his size, about a 38, and he plans to wear it with his tux and ivory silk scarf. And vintage homburg.
I usually have quite a bit of luck thrifting around here - not necessarily the super high-end labels that some of you find, but still some really good (trad-leaning) stuff (Brooks Brothers, Bill's Khakis, ties, PRL, etc.).

My brother thrifted a luxurious J. Press Chesterfield coat in perfect, like-new condition yesterday. Black, single breasted with concealed buttons, velvet collar, and it fits him perfectly. Tag inside the pocket states: "New Haven--L. McCune--9/27/30!" Yes, 1930. $40.
