Nice finds today, everyone.

But at the risk of being the crotchety anti-evolution-of-the-thread guy I usually roll my eyes at, I liked it better when we didn't share prices....

I apologize for mine being that way. I usually try to flip the tag (so prices arent visible) but those were taken in a rush and the prices hadn't been removed yet. I do not mind sharing the finds and not the prices. Sounds fair to me...

What good is bragging about thrift shop finds without mentioning the price paid?

I got 3 beautiful cashmere sportcoats today which fit 43R. I paid almost non-thrift prices for them. Available for trade or cash.

One is by Ravozzolo with pure cashmere from Drapers. Tagged EU54 C. Juicy horn buttons, no vent.
Shoulder 19
Chest 23.5
Sleeves 24.5
Length BOC 30.3

Another Ravozzolo with pure cashmere from Vitale Barberis Canonico. Tagged EU56 R. Juici horn buttons, no vent.
Shoulder 19
Chest 23.5
Sleeves 24.5
Length BOC 31

Last one is by Franck Namani with a label saying Ultimum Cashmere / Private Collection / by / Franck Namani. Juici hron buttons with dual vents. Tagged EU56 R. According to the label, I believe it is made by Belvest.

Shoulder 20
Chest 23.5
Sleeves 23
Length BOC 30.7

Photos will be posted later.

This feels like the beginning of a slap fest. And I'm fighting the urge to just drop it. But I will pause to observe we've made it well over 50.000 posts with that being the general rule. We all know how little we all pay; we're out there every day.

Not a thrift, but got these at a good price. Hopefully I'll find more good stuff tomorrow.

Fits a little snug, unfortunately:

—One more first: NWT Pantherellas

Passed on some Canali and Zegna shirts, J Brand jeans, and made-in-USA Patagonia fleeces that didn't fit.

Nice scores, especially that Arctyrex jacket!

+1

Sadly, not Holland and Sherry cloth or made in England.  But nonetheless, this one is headed to the 'bay as completed listings are very promising.

This is table flippingly offensive.  Clearly you haven't been following fashion trends for the past, oh....4 years.  Workwear has been the hottest trend in menswear for at least that long.  Denim/Chambray shirts are a huge part of that.

And a quick snap of my finds from today.

Some country rekkids, RLPL gingham shirt (16) with the slightest bit of wear starting to appear at the cuffs, collar points, and collar.  Baldesserini Hugo Boss and Charvet ties.

If anyone thinks that RLPL gingham shirt is totally unwearable, I'll send you the buttons in exchange for a SASE. lololololol

It's about the find not the money

Fair enough. I'll try not to upset Norm.

Is posting ridiculously high thrift prices fair game?

Oh, the most shocking thing to happen today was this.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Boglioli-Coat-3-roll-2-Blazer-100-Linen-Size-Euro-50-US38-40-/281020778186?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&nma=true&si=COnxjKopsr3gxwaq2MgWw9bIEgk%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

I put in a bid almost a week ago and was stupefied to learn that nobody challenged me.  A super popular size on a very unique item from an in vogue house.  Boglioli is rare on eBay, let alone at a starting bid of $50.  I remember seeing some ridiculous Boglioli madras SCs a couple months ago for $145 BIN, which disappeared within hours.  Beyond stoked to rock this in 7 months..

THE man indeed.  And also, A man.  Known primarily for his Switched-On Bach album, one of the first to use the, at the time, new and very expensive MOOG system.  It was one of the first classical albums to hit gold (500k) and was in the Top 200 for over a year.

I also forgot that she (Wendy Carlos) scored A Clockwork Orange, The Shining, and Tron.
