Not a thrift, but got these at a good price. Hopefully I'll find more good stuff tomorrow.

Oh my, those walnut strands are just amazing.  Do want.

Passed on some Canali and Zegna shirts, J Brand jeans, and made-in-USA Patagonia fleeces that didn't fit.

Love the Barbour, do you need my address?smile.gif

You should have picked up the Patagonia fleeces. Those are an easy flip on eBay.

my southwick suit just came in the mail and holy jesus do I love it I might have to get rid of all my other stuff that doesn't quite fit me also I just finished bidding on the exact same suit but with side vents in a nice solid deep navy I think I will have both of them for a long time

please note this is before tailoring I am lengthening the sleeves ever so slightly, adding some more waist suppression and hemming the pants to a minimal break with no cuffs, I have decided cuffs just don't work for me, but other than that this this fits great!! right? please tell me if I am wrong but I freaking love this thing, barely any padding more summer weight 1/4 lined with nice ass fabric, only thing I would change is move the button stance up about an inch but damn this thing is nice. please excuse the bad hair I just got back from the shooting range also check out that lands end tailored fit cutaway collar shirt I highly recommend it you can get it for something in the 10-20 range

Here are her finds from a recent trip. What did I find? Nothing.

That Isaia is nasty...if it's near a 42L, HOLLAATME.  Charvet looks real to me based on others I've handled (though I don't suspect they're faked...if they are, someone wiser can chime in), and all GA that have the "Borngonuovo 21" address info, AFAIK, are just older Italian made/marketed versions of GA "blue" label (the precursor to black...ok stuff, but nothing amazing).  At that price, pass was probably good.

And she found this. I have yet to see anything like it. It's an orphan and we couldn't find the pants. Best part? Half off.

Can anyone confirm whether this is real? The tag looks slightly off to me.

Oh and this is a GA label ive never seen before. The store wanted a crazy amount for the suit so I passed. Should I have gone back? I know the "black label" is the good label but this one is different.

Nice. One of my favorite suits I own is also a Southwick. Enjoy it.

It's hard to tell for sure from the pics, but I think you may need to lengthen those sleeves by about an inch. The shirts sleeves also appear much too short for you.

Suit looks good.  I'd do all that you said and possibly taper the pant legs as well.  You're a young, tall, skinny dude so you can get away with the slimmer fit, and the side shot of the leg looks a little bit billowy on you.  ONLY do it if your tailor is reasonably priced, otherwise, it works as is with your noted changes.  Nice suit.

I was thinking about that but I was going to tall to my tailor the pants are slightly slimmer than they look in the photos but could use a tiny bit of slimming I agree. I go to a guy in Berkeley that is pretty reasonable but also super skilled especially with leather people from Japan and him jackets all the time his name is Zoltan
Also for the shirt sleeves I agree they are slightly too short but no one on that planet makes 15.5 36 37 and 35's are serviceable for me

^^ My brother wears the same size. It is a tricky one. You may want to give this a try:

You know, from the very first post of mine, you have been an awesome mentor for me. Always giving me extra pieces of information that improve my game. The jacket is a tad small for you (and me since we are the same size). Its tagged a 40R.

I came into this forum a complete PRL fanboy brand loyal skank. Now, I am building a decently respectable wardrobe. And thanks to everyone, I am starting to learn a thing or two about proper fit too.

Nice scores, especially that Arctyrex jacket!

Does anyone else run into this sort of thing? Obviously, the people who run this thrift shop (local humane society) at least know that Canali is worth something. The thing wasn't my size, but I thought their approach was interesting. At the same shop, I picked up a Timbuk2 Super Commuter Messenger bag.

Facconable Tie. I will post this on Ebay to see if there's any interest.

Anyone familiar with Stewarts of Scotland? I'm guessing this is an older (80s or 90s) wool sweater. But I really like it, and it fits well.

Nice finds today, everyone.

But at the risk of being the crotchety anti-evolution-of-the-thread guy I usually roll my eyes at, I liked it better when we didn't share prices....
