Now knowing that it's more about just taking the time and putting in the hours - I will be hitting the pavement this weekend to scour some shelves :)

Also, I do realize that this thread is simply the good stuff out of thousands of visits, but I still just needed somewhere to start - appreciated.

To the smart ass replies, still appreciated haha, although even at 100 posts a page, youre out of your mind!

Good luck, man (even though I still have an innate dislike of Vancouverites from the summer I spent there). I'm sure you'll be pulling nice stuff in no time. And for the record, 80% of my finds are from my local Value Village.

You guys have more SW&D than we have in Denver.

Yeah, but you have mountains AND legal pot now (it is technically still illegal in BC), so all the Vancouverites will be living in Denver soon.

I think it is generally agreed upon that you are the most stylish guy in the thread followed closely by eazy and hanser

I guess I haven't cleaned that mirror in our guest room, um, ever. Apologies. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

The pattern is exactly what I was looking for -- none of the red/yellow accents or anything like that.

I think the general rule is, if the bottom of the jacket reaches past you thumbs, it's too long. That being said, I don't think it really looks too long in the picture. Are your arms on the shorter side? I'd keep it if it was mine, but I've also been on the hunt for one, so maybe my opinion is biased?

Whoops! Should have specified that the length is TOC.

Srsly, this thread is mo' on faya than I ever remember. I'm really starting to show the signs of internet addiction.

just for that, I'm not going to offer you the PRL tweed that Bytor passed on. (no seriously, if you're still interested get at me)

Two stops today. Trying to throttle back as holidays come. Stopped into a Marshalls that yielded 2 pairs of RLPL jodhpurs and a pair of Crocket and Jones shells, all of which I (after buying, trying to sell, then returning) passed on at the expense of part of my soul, only to find the C&Js BACK FROM THE DEAD and less than half price. (No RLPLs, though, which is what I really wanted). Tagged 12D. Also a pair of PRL Italian made buck loafs with gum sole tagged 10, but they have to be closer to 9. Both available, but I have to warn you: I paid serious coin, so even a proxy is going to hurt your wallet.

Ha, your ease of affording insurance tells me otherwise.  Plus, I'll take lush forests on rolling hills over desolate, sparse mountains any day.

Legal weed is a toss up for me, I've never had trouble acquiring potent strains.

Had a long day of waiting for the apt. maintenance guy to arrive and install a new faucet in the bathroom (property mgmt moves fast when you mention a slow leak/potential mold).

Realized it had been a day since I'd hit the shop, and decided to check out my "home base" gw. Slow day of thrifting netted me:

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Rag and Bone shirt (a first for me) and these... Da fuq?

A little research on Chepstow shoes made in England tells me these are C&J's, another first. I think they'll clean up nicely, vibram commando soles aren't that worn.

Then I get a call from the darkest of all matter. "Have to show you something" he says. We meet up and well...

This is me, all 6'2 285 lbs of me to be exact, doing my best Gitmo detainee with a hood over my head impression, but we'll get back to why this jacket is so big in a minute.

Insert bottle of

1000

We hit a shop. I find

Lord of Pianos. Soft as anything. Time to go.

Last stop of the night yields me a little bit (at higher than thrift prices, but still reasonable) starting with

And then (Click to show)

Yeah, that's the original security tag's imprint high on the collar (which isn't dirty like it appears).

Also...

Oh streetwear isn't your thing?

How bout (Click to show)

Pretty current, barely worn, buttoned pockets, etc.

But also theres... (Click to show)

These pants, flat front, size 29, super clean lines, in black, charcoal, and gray

By some dude

In the know your meme segment of the post, DM7 =

Oh yeah, best for last... The reason he called me with something I had to see (and try on)

Mother fucking... (Click to show)

ZEN MASTER.
