I'm a SW&D novice, but my vote would be these:

Obviously GMMCL who also happen to have stuff to trade you biggrin.gif

So you twiggies what does a middle aged mate with many years of beer consumption of more gallons than the sum of ages of the lot of you -read a healthy paunch- can buy as a selvedge jean other than your classic 501 which fits me well but I heard they changed the cut. I bought BR online and the fit was meh and it was not real selvedge turns out, returned

Jeeezus GMMcL, as an 18 or 18.5 neck fella (and who likes Charvet ties to boot) that load was... Yowza. PMs definitely sent.

^^Ehm, affordable denim?
APC comes largest 36. I may try that though.

Ok, those are pretty incredible.  I have my eye on a pair on eBay that claim to have retailed for between $1,000 and $1,300...we'll see if my wallet can handle the final price.

alright dudes, lemme ask catside's question in a language you guys can understand: what's the denim equivalent to AE Walnut Strands? nothing limited edition or hard to find or super expensive.

also: looks like EVERYONE is online. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Just curious, but what is your opinion on the Made-in-Portugal LL Bean chamois cloth shirts? I'm thinking of getting a few out of the catalog I got a few weeks ago and using my 15% off the entire order coupon. The little article about them says they are made in Portugal. I figure that can't be all bad as Incotex are made there.

If you wear it with a loud chalk stripe suit, people will think you're a mobster biggrin.gif

Thanks for all of that. It makes me feel a bit more comfortable wearing it. I told Spoo that I may have to dabble in organized crime just to get a bit more use out of it!

That coat is definitely going to get some use this winter! I'll throw some pics up the first time I wear it! Thanks again for it, it's awesome!

Face it, this whole obsession we have with expensive used clothes is escapism at its finest, we're trying to look as rich as we can on a budget.  We are all more or less "herb".

I'd like to note that within a few posts, I was compared to a crime boss, Peter Pan and Nick Wooster. I'll accept them all biggrin.gif I'm actually an eccentric billionaire that likes to go through thrift stores as a sport and to see how the little people live.

I picked up a pair of Naked & Famous slim guy hemp/cotton selvedge today. The same store had 10+ pairs of Jean Shop selvedge for $45 a pair. Traditional, billowy cuts that didn't flatter me, but if anyone's interested, PM and I can get you the phone number. I'm sure they'd be willing to go a phone order.

I came across a whole bunch of nice Canali and Zegna shirts today but they were all either large or extra large so I passed.
