^^ Paul Fredrick does it as well and it drives me nuts. There's also some companies that are doing it with the Brioni style "B" which always gets my heart rate up when I see it before I crash down to reality that it's some shitty knockoff sweatshop spawn.

Today's grabs:

Polo by Corneliani 100% Linen Black Herringbone 42R, double vented 3r2 gutted it's not a 38:

Brooks Brothers 100% Camel Hair in a black and white houndstooth, no size tag but should be about a 42 as well:

I saw this and got all excited because "hey I'm a BB2!" but it's a woman's - hoping this will work for my wife but if not it'll do me well on the 'bay:

Two pairs of very old but immaculate condition wool flannel trousers from Canali for Bloomingdales - one in navy and one in olive with Zegna cloth:

Trafalgar tie - cool leather logo on the loop -

and some AE loafers to flip-

I now have one of the heaviest coats I've ever seen in my closet and it will get good use and pics soon.
I also received something I had hoped would make it today. A couple of weeks ago, I posted about a fur collar cashmere/wool coat that I wanted to buy. It was this: Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Well, I bought it and it made it here today. I love it, but it's ridiculous. I'm not sure how I should wear it or whether, in fact, it should wear me. Anyway, it's a 50/50 cashmere/wool Aquascutum with what I believe is beaver fur collar. I may get it shortened a bit. I tried it a number of ways and naturally they all looked over the top because it's a fucking fur collared overcoat. No dressing this thing down. Anyway, I thought I'd post some pictures of it.

I like the jacket and you look good in it. But, just like with a wide brimmed hat, this kind of statement piece is rife for the "What People Think I Do" meme:

Hell yeah...those throw me on a fit. That is probably because I have yet to find Isaia in the wild so my heart flutters each time.

On another note, I had my first "regular" encounter at a SA near me. One of the lady's came out with a cart full of stuff, she recognizes me and we chat briefly. She asks what I am looking for, and I say "everything." She sees that I am wearing PRL and starts sifting through the cart looking for stuff to show me. She actually found a decent classic mesh polo that was three bucks. Then, she went into the back to find stuff for me, but came up short.

Then...I get to the checkout counter. There is the manager there (who once botched the discount day once for me several months ago, but he exceeded any mistake by give me a credit far and beyond the mistake he had made). He greets me, remembers me, looks at the cashier and says, "give this man the senior discount, we will see him again."  I pushed my luck and ran back to grab a chocolate banana republic velvet blazer and a Ted Baker chocolate blazer that I wouldn't have paid full price for.  Such a neat moment to have one employee scouring the back for an item (despite not actually wanting what she was looking for) and another proving me an incredible discount.

Bring in a dozen donuts ($8?) or cookies next time you go as a thank for for just being nice helpful people. Don't expect a discount each time, but it really helps (I use to make home made cookies for my good Salvation Army that just closed).

Looks good... but is that a discoloration near the pocket, or just your camera?

Once, I put the title of a Chanel bag as "Unicorn" to attempt to demonstrate how rare it was. I got so many messages asking what part of it was unicorn. facepalm.gif

They have tons of top quality sweaters, jackets, ties, outerwear, casual and tailored clothing from Europe, and the US. Lots of well known brands. I picked up a beautiful Irish Inis Meain chunky knit sweater. Much better than anything at the Gilroy outlets.

Sweet - what were the prices like? New or used stuff?

Ok guys, help me with what I have here.  It it a sports coat, orphan, or a wool coat like i first suspected?  It's unvented, on the tag in the Drop box is an L.  Tell me I did well, I need this to be worth something to make the day worth it.
