LOL this label never fails to amuse. Please tell me you left that on the rack...

Having handled the real thing, it is still sitting there for someone else to brag about.

If I see another Van Heusen or Merona or Eddie Bauer or Faded Glory shirt im gonna puke ! Hahaha ! I did find a TM Lewin French Cuff shirt (15 1/2 36). Don't know much about this designer, but a cool shirt nonetheless.

Oh no, I certainly remember...I also took part in this quest running around everywhere.  It's just that none of the Marshalls/TJ Maxx's near me never even had high caliber stuff to begin with, much less had it marked down so dramatically.  Seriously, I think the best thing I found out of all of the stores near me was one PRL sweater, so I'm just wondering why my stores don't even seem to ever get this stuff in the first place.

I hit up my Marshalls yesterday. Michael Kors and US Polo Assoc ties as far as the eye's can see. And then no longer even had Polo Regent Custom/Classic shirts. All Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein. I wanted to cry.

The Marshall's by my house (both of them) were renovated after the holidays. They put up large displays and added mannequins and proper merchandising throughout the store. Everything was nice and folded and hung in a neat order last time I was in. Oh yeah, and they apparently burned everything worthwhile during the renovation. Either that or someone swooped in and cleaned house. Either way, both stores are now devoid of anything of note. Talk about from riches to rags.

All this supports the hypothesis I have been formulating the past few years: The shittier the Marshall's, the higher the possibility of grail finds.

I posted a Nordy Rack/ TJ's haul a few days back that included RLPL, Faconnable, BB and some other stuff I can't remember at the moment. Just stopped by TJ's again on the way home to see if they've started discounting the ties I've been scoping. Sorry to hear yours is SOL... I seriously can't believe the amazing ties at my TJ's that are getting left over and should be marked down soon... at least a half dozen Ferragamo, Missoni, and Versace, a couple Armani, one Fendi, one Dior and one RLPL. And they aren't some wack pattern castoffs... I'd buy them all, but I know they'll get reduced so in the meantime.... I'll wait! :nodding:

Ended up wearing an all-thrifted (save for undergarments) outfit today and decided to follow Dig's suggestion.  Please feel free to skip if you don't care and I apologize for the crappy pics.

First time doing anything like this, be gentle...

Jacket - Harris Tweed for Hill & Archer (thrifted)
Shirt - Turnbull & Asser (thrifted)
Tie - Barbera (thrifted)
Pants - Unbranded Wool Flannel (thrifted)
Shoes - Church's (thrifted) (more of a dark chocolate brown than they look in the pics)
Pocket Square - Drake's (Ebay)
Socks - Pantherella (Sierra Trading Post w/ Deal Flyer Coupon)

Bonus: Mirror - Also thrifted!

Thoughts? Other than use a better camera...

I like how the PS pulls a bit of color from the Tweed. Did you have anything altered or did it just fit you like that? Looks great with a modern cut but I'd like to see some cuffs on those pants. The color of the pants looks mighty close to the jacket but that may just be a limitation of the camera. Well done! You should put it on WAYWRN.

The Cheval mirror is posh.

I like this a lot. Fit looks very good overall, and I think the elements play well together. Also, those are some very quality pieces to have put together. Well done!

Been meaning to tell you, I really dig your photos in the dining room. They seem to give the suits an elegant and inviting feel.

Ditto to this

I've been finding nicer things lately and learning to let them sit if they're not worth picking up — like this guy (if anyone wants it, I KNOW it will still be there tomorrow):

But I did pick this one up, knowing people might want it:

And a made in USA PRL that I think has been tailored down to a 38 S

Found a modest collection of Peter Millar shirts. I know the brand from Nordstroms, but I've never read the name here. I presumed it not worth my time, hence my leaving them. They were defined as 'extra large'.

10:1 male to female ratio, looks like a Colorado mountain town.

A Colorado mountain town populated exclusively by dumpy guys in polo shirts and flip flops with crew cuts.
