I've done it on different sized thread/yarn, including a fine weave. I haven't tried a tie just yet. It should work the same, but just require more attention.

Is this the right black label? First time I've ever seen this label. Was a 3 button solid gray orphen in 36S/R. Almost looked fake??

Wasn't there something posted about them never using the bird logo thing on the lining? I seem to recall that in either this thread of ebay questions thread.

I would go with fake. Emporio uses the logo and the font looks off on it to me. I'm NOT an expert with these things though, so I'd let others chime in before you trust my judgement biggrin.gif

Fakety fake fake fake.

EDIT: The reason: Only Emporio uses the eagle logo, and since when it Le Collezioni one word?

Is there any way to fix this heel issue?

I didn't think so.

These are unmarked Florsheim shells on ebay, so I'm really tempted. I talked the seller down to $47 shipped from his outrageous asking price of $92 shipped.

I guess it's not so bad.

They'd also need new heels, I think (no V cleats, unfortunately).

You're not alone. I had the image of a certain cashmere Polo Bear sweater pop into my head when I saw it opened up. Listing this one on a friend's account, just in case mine has the Polo Curse. Who knows though, maybe it's just the Polo Bear who hates me. laugh.gif

It's average - the angle of the photo just makes it look odd.

That is, of course, if anyone is willing to pay the shipping. biggrin.gif I'll ask my wife about it this afternoon.

Wow - seriously? If so, then icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

No, but if you're happy with the price, you could still get some wear out of 'em. I would dye and clean up the stuff on the heel to make it look a little neater, but that's about all you can do.

I thought Id mention, not me, but a consignor sent me my first skeet blankets! Very excited to list these. Should I put "skeet blanket" in the title to help drive traffic? lol8[1].gif
I have started adding "unicorn" to my Zanella finds. So far so good.

So I was searching for thrift stores on Google Maps in a new city and came upon this review. I can't wait to go to this store and check it out.

Overall Poor to fair
Have you ever wondered what America would be like if it fell into 3rd world status? Have you ever wanted to learn Spanish by full immersion techniques? Have you ever been ashamed of yourself for what you did for a great deal? Valley thrift store has the amazing ability to combine all three of these experiences into one! I have been going to this store for a number of years and much like our beloved Republic, I have seen the degradation. If thrift stores were cities, this one is Detriot. Hollywood could film a post apocalyptic movie within this stores cozy confines. It has it all. The incessant barking reminders via loudspeakers would make Stalin shop beaming with pride. A tear would come to chairman Mao as he watched honest, hardworking Americans herded into tightly crowded aisles of rubbish. Yes, folks, what various movements have sought to do for centuries, valley thrift store has accomplished: the complete overthrow of American dignity. Did I mention that those loudspeakers deafen you with English and Spanish? An amazing feat of international relations. So in between your favorite "b" side songs of the mid 70s, you are constantly reminded about watching your children or pricing structures. Apparently, if there is no tag, they can't sell you the item. I know, I'm crazy, I thought companies were in business to turn a profit. Hey guys, take a cue from goodwill... Price it all the same. You are the Edsel of thrift stores. Want to try something on? Sure, no problem. The "polite" staff will be more than happy to help you. They have a 3 item limit and they are serious about it. I didn't see any snipers attempting to "take care" of anyone violating this sacred rule. Of course, if I did see them, how good of a sniper could they be? After you check out... Don't worry, you will spend plenty of time doing that. Must be part of the marketing genius.... Make people wait forever before taking their money.. You get the TSA full body cavity search while walking out the door. Ever wonder what happens to TSA people who get fired ? I think I found the place they go. All this place needs are a few guard towers and some razor wire. So for the love of your country, humanity, and your freedom.. Pass this piece of fascism by.

In bragging news I found these AE Byron's in my size at one of their sister stores yesterday.

I'll probably pass it up because it was easy enough to find a 9 D pair of unmarked Florsheim shells on ebay. Something better will, no doubt, come along soon.
