I'm assuming whatever people are offering is also thrifted, so acquired at similar cost. If people are buying things in my size at non thrift prices to trade online then idk what.

I'm mostly a lurker, but heard this song on Sirius radio this morning and had to post it here. It's a song about buying stuff at thrift shops. I think some of you will get a kick out of it:

Although your wares are out of my price range and non of it were my size but I'm still grateful for you offering on here first. I  appreciate your gestures! You didn't have to do any of this. Please continue to offer deals on here!

Anyways, I'm just saying, I noticed you didn't get crap for offering on the thread, while I recall DM7 doing the same thing and the whole thread jumped on his ass. I'm not referring to his consignor, but his own personal offer a couple months back, where he offered to proxy like recent Givenchy for around ~200-250. It's essentially the same value deal as yours.
I'm not attacking you just trying to show the thread how hypocritical they are sometimes. I know DM7 has some awesome stuff that he was willing to let go cheap, but got scared about the rage he'd receive.

I agree with Ray on this. My opinion on the reason some of us gave DM7 crap is maybe sometimes he comes off a bit on the cocky side and maybe some of us used this as an excuse to give him shit in order to tune him down a notch...nest.gif

As a result, DM7 became less visible...I personally think that's a damn shame. Anyhow, that's just my hunch and I could be totally wrong about this.

I would probably pass, there might be money to be made in those, but not worth my time and effort. at $20 I would go for it though.

I think Eddie's deal is decent. I believe we have welcomed the TA shirts of DM7, didn't we?
I could not pull the trigger on those boots since I thought they are a little narrow having never tried them (baldy[1].gif). I just felt black fleece line is for t(h)in men smile.gif

The thread evolved frankly -for good or bad, whatever- and this is more normal then it used to be.

Not a normal spot for me - but I've never seen C&J or Gucci shoes in the wild, and thought I'd offer to anyone interested.  I'm thinking there is no flip potential in those....

DM7 is standup guy and i dont think he should have been given flack either, its a shame because b&s has changed so much i rarely ever go there myself to look for stuff, but essentially when someone posts a find and writes "available" its OK and i was not even planning on listing them here just got insane amount of pms and it was easier to post than to answer every one, also if it was turned around id definitely want it known that my items which are highly sought after and new in box are available at an amazing price, just my .02 i know its hard to believe but ill say it again i literally begged my partner to let me sell to members at a discounted price because i felt bad that i posted it as a brag and got so many inquiries.

Profit? How much time do all of us invest in this, be it a business or a hobby? Unless you are out-of-control lucky, it takes hundreds upon hundreds of hours before you find something like this, if ever, and that's not counting the time it takes to learn what's good and what's crap, which is a never-ending endeavor. Do I feel guilty when I sell a pair of Alden NST's for $200 that I bought for three bucks? Not for a second, because I earned those shoes and that reward. Will I sell those same shoes to a fellow thrifter for $150 when I could get more? Yes, unless I'm tight for cash, which can happen.

Eddie isn't making a profit here so much as he's reaping a reward. There's a difference.

+100 - he put some serious cash into getting all of that stock, and everyone's gotta make a buck. Very much in the spirit of this thread IMO.

I hadn't thought of that, but yeah, I bet it is! Wow! Nice detective work on that photo... the collar and color DOES look very similar.

I hit up another of the same store and no more Kiton shirts, but some unusual goodies:

Keurig B60 without the water tank, but powers up okay... 7.99 wink.gif
RECENT HSM size 40R awesome orange with blue windowpane sc
A pair of Bill's that's a new one on me - model CM2. What the heck is a CM2? Looks like M2's to me! Tagged size 33.

ALSO: I am FLOODED with PM's about those Kiton shirts. Will respond in the order they were received when I get a chance (hopefully tonight).

i'm probably as anti-in-thread-gouging as it gets, and eddie's post was 10000% ok in my book. if i had the marital capital, i would have jumped on the brown boots. [ horribly mistaken SCOTUS-related stuff removed thanks to androfan schooling my ignorant ass] his post definitely passed the "i'm trying to hook you fellas up" smell test.

Picked up a nwot Brooks Brothers performance knit polo in a blue/black houndstooth pattern with a solid navy collar. Planning on keeping if it fits. I am making approximately 30 stops tomorrow, so I hope to have a nice haul to post.
