Passed on about a dozen motorcycle protection jackets and vintage bomber jackets. I don't know leather and they wanted 50-200 per jacket. Was going to kop the cool Cooper jacket though.

On the way home, after an epic 2.5 hour, 20 mile drive home in the snow, in which I managed several Neo-esque escapes from catastrophe, I step out of my car onto my driveway and take a digger. Onto my knee. Ripping my f-king suit trou.
BITCH!!

(BTW, that's a penny for scale and to make the damage moar visible)
So I ask you: is this the kind of damage that can be rewoven for less than $100? If so, anyone got names in the Connecticut / NYC (have cash, will travel) area for reasonable reweaving?
And assuming not to any of the above, can a brother get a moment of silence?
Edit: MAINY: LOVE that BB tweed and the Hermes are actually wearable. Also, my Alden shell-dar must be off, because I wouldn't have picked those based on the micro creasing. Makes me think I've actually handled shell and not known.....

Ouch! *Raises the flag half way.

Snagged some decent ties today - my first Rubinacci and a NWT Canali as well as a nice Polo.

Medium Helly Hansen Rain Poncho

Also a Zegna silk and wool sport coat euro 54L

And this GB Sportelli Shetland Sweater - anyone know anything about this brand? Seems quite nice and well-made.

That is not the Rubinacci that you are looking for shog[1].gif

Then going for a non-blue neutral would work for a shirt, such as a cream or ecru as was suggested for the PS.  I would go for a simpler PS, in color maybe somewhere between the tie and the cream shirt (muted orange as you have?), but a discreet pattern would be fine, even preferable, if the scale of the pattern doesn't clash with the jacket. In general when trying to combine loud patterns, I seek to reduce the scope of the color palette in order to diminish the boldness of the juxtaposition, but that's just my taste.  That tie + jacket combo is a challenge!

Wow, thanks for such an analysis! I will try the jacket again next week and make an attempt to tone everything else down. I am going to keep my eye out for a navy cashmere v-neck sweater, though no one has them on sale right now. Maybe closer to Christmas I could find something that would blend a bit. smile.gif

Sorry to have spoiled your image, but if I take the time sometime I'll try to dig up a couple of pictures of myself in tracht (think loden green colors and lederhosen) in the mountains. My wife will wear a dirndl for any reason at all, she loves it and I usually just have to give her an excuse.

Ouch, that's a painful thing to hear. I'm sorry for your loss, you have my condolences.
