I wouldve picked it up. Im sure many here wouldve as well.

Two thrift fits in one week, though I'm slightly less embarrassed by this one.  (Full-length shot taken at the local consignment store where I found my first shells, Hanover derby gunboats )

 

Jacket: No-name Daffy's (house brand?)

Shirt: Structure, thrifted by my brother

Pants: Hickey Freeman, thrifted by me

Shoes: Nettleton shell saddles, 'bay at a good deal

Wow, take a day off and you guys get into another thrift pricing discussion... Jeez.

 

I went out yesterday and picked up a couple decent older HF flannel suits, both around a 40S. Also left behind a couple BB wash-and-wear suits around the same size, one gray pinstripe, the other navy pinstripe. They don't sell well, but I'd proxy if someone like 'em.

Most GF ties are 4". If these are thrift store finds i'd buy them, but I'm guessed they are TJ/Marsh as the tags looked crossed out.

Lots of interest in DB overcoats. I got one, Canali Milano 42R black, anyone want?

Also, who was looking for DB blazers, I kopped 2 Pal Zileri and Aquascutum (MI England) I think both 46R, one may be 44R.

 

On checking those shops that buy trendy casual stuff from you and resell (Buffalo Exchange, Plato’s Closet etc) how many of you have had success at these types of shops? I know Typhoid Jones got some good stuff from a buffalo before, and Eazy obv got his 2 RLPL overcoats at a similar store, but what is the general consensus? I

The ones around me tend to price at 2-3x thrift prices, with brands like PRL or BR "warranting" higher prices. I grabbed a pair of APCs for $10 (average for jeans), PRL selvedge jeans for $20 and a Rag and Bone shirt for $9. I find they're as ignorant of quality brands as thrifts are. Limited turnover relative to SA, but that may be due to my location.

Those are worse than ebay prices.

Maybe so, but they had some good stuff. $385 for EG loafers and $300 for Lanvin high-tops are pretty fair I think.
