Hugo Boss Pics.........

This is far higher quality than any Boss I have ever seen.

- Fully canvassed
- Great Fabric (angora, cashmere, wool)

The label just does not look Hugo Boss to me. How come it is in three quality leagues above the Hugo Boss found in department stores?

I am erring towards considering that this is a separate brand. I cannot read the writing though - so any of you chaps that can read that font, let me know wink.gif

Oh yes - from the tag, name the suit maker? Tag does not look like anything I am familiar with.

Would like some help ID'ing it just for curiosity sake.

Haven't been able to thrift much lately. Trying to clear out a lot of the backlog. Grabbed this interesting Zegna, not sure if I can pull it off though.

Hugo Boss Baldessarini - started in '94 or '95 I believe and was HBs highest end label designed to showcase top quality. The two labels split about 2006 I think. very nice stuff, as far as I know they were made by Caruso or Battistoni in Italy!

Had a Baldessarini back in February. Was definitely remarkable....flipped nicely.

Well, if you decide you can't work that out...hit me up. That thing is dreamy.

They were on the round rack with all the long coats and overcoats. One was khaki and one was a darker olive green if I remember right. I sure hope some doorknob didn't buy them; then they will think "Wow! These sold! I guess our pricing strategy is working!".

I had a feeling you had found a Baldessari. Like others said, it was their flagship line made to great standards and the price-point was up there too. I've only found one item ever, a pair of khaki pants back when I was working at the Salvation Army. These things made Incotex feel like Banana Republic.

^^ Correct. I believe that the one you have there is made by Caruso. I have left the same Baldessarini jacket at a store as they wanted €20 for it and it may have been an orphan (can't remember). If anyone wants the details, I can stop in and check it out as far as color and size go.
