Even better, where do you find these items in Cincinnati?
j/k I know better than that...
I'm pretty sure this is incorrect. Here is a very recent "white label" without the Collezioni tie that I picked up recently: http://img.auctiva.com/imgdata/1/6/5/3/5/3/6/webimg/612065060_o.jpg.
Though I know what you're talking about, I'm pretty certain this is more recent than the older Collezioni line without the Collezioni...the size and shape of the label is different, and I picked this tie up with another Zegna and Corneliani that I'm sure were from within the last few seasons.
Notsomuch a thrift /discount store find, but I did pick up these Edward Green balmorals for myself from one of the guys over at the AAAC Trad Forum Exchange Thread for a cool $60 shipped. I spent this past Monday polishing shoes and drinking champagne with my wife while we waited out Hurricane Sandy and here are the results...
NOT AVAILABLE (just so everyone is clear on that .)
^^^ Cleaned, conditioned, & polished!
^^^ Vintage NOS / deadstock shoelaces with brass aglets!
I have had several heartbreaking moments over the past two weeks and it feels like the thrift gods are toying with me. This latest one was especially heartbreakng.
First I see this
And then I see this...
It was a full suit, completely amazing, and completely destroyed.
Hit another store and found this. Hickey Freeman boardroom coat tagged 44 short but looks more like a regular. Available.
Sorry if I broke some kind of protocol. I got tons of time on my hand with my current job so I figured I might as well look through a bunch of thrift shops looking for hidden deals. I'm just surprised that people are able to find high end goods at thrift shops...but then again, my company did just donate a bunch of super 140 and 160 sample suits/sportcoats to the salvation army on 46th a few weeks ago.
