Good stuff! Love the peacoat. Gotta break mine out, but it's always so easy to grab my Barbour Beaufort.

Love peacoats. Like, Actual Vintage Navy ones. Kicking ass, eazyE.

Hey just checking in. In trying to track down a couple other SF palz via PM it occurs to me I should jump in here.

--I made it through Sandy fine. Lucky me. Lost power a bit but many many more people had it worse (good vibes, prayers, etc to you all)
--I have been watching *various* thrift threads but not posting because hell, I haven't had any super finds, just pretty damned good lately
--Mothereffing Ron Chereskin's been haunting me like a zombie. Must be Halloween. HIm and effing Club Room. Ugh.
--work's been intense

Anyway, I also wanted to say this Secret Santa shite is BRILLIANT. Love it. I am in, even though I am a back channel type of dude the last little while...which sounds kinda kinky when I think about it.

...see you all on the circuit.

^ Nah, just a spotted knit tie. Dots look too uniform to be handsewn, but still awesome.
Oh, those dots are hand sewn, baby, I can feel it.

(No, really. They're all raised-up and awesome looking.)

Thanks for the tip... and thanks for the info, Spoo. I'll find good Versace yet!

TOMORROW: VINTAGE LATE 60'S GIVENCHY HOUNDSTOOTH LADY-BLAZER OF HEPBURN-INVOKING AWESOMENESS!!!

Hahaha, I had no idea who Rorschach was and at first thought it was a member's username. Wikipedia to the rescue and you're right!

Great look! That pea coat fits you really well and I wish the one I found would have fit me as well as yours does.

I think I'm going to start a campaign called "rich guys hit the gym", sick of finding nice pieces in monster sizes.

School gave me a second day off for the hurricane despite the weather being absolutely fine. So obviously I went thrifting. Happened upon two Orvis Vests. These seem to do well on eBay. Nonetheless, they are available.

Hunting/Fishing Outerwear Vest, Size L:
Details and Measurements (Click to show)
Awesome Corduroy Collar Lining:

Hidden Pocket along zipper:

Plaid and Quilted lining:

Pleated back, Snap waist adjustment and two back pockets:

Measurements:
P2P: 23"
Shoulder 17.5"
Length from Bottom of Collar 28"

Waistcoat (?) In a tweed-like wool twill, size M:
Details and Measurments (Click to show)

Right side pocket is a zip pocket. Well hidden:

Belted sides for adjustment:

Measurements:
P2P 21"
Shoulder 16"
Length BOC 23.5"

Saw and left behind this V2 by Versace. Ebay seems to suggest only the loud shirts sell. This was pretty plain. purple stripes, point collar, hidden placket. Good Pass?

A few guys here have PMed me with pictures of some of their secret santa gifts and I have to say that there are going to be some happy people. Everyone has been really generous with their gifts and pretty creative as well. I've received 7-8 questions people would like me to ask their secret santa and have forwarded them on to the correct people. I haven't kept track of who responds, but I will send your response if/when I get it. If you haven't gotten a response, let me know and I can send out reminders to people.

Maybe that's the problem - they are, and getting rid of their old too-large clothing. You need to start a campaign, "Skinny guys spend money."

What were the different Giorgio Armani label differences again ? I found a tie today , white label, black lettering saying "Giorgio Armani Made In Italy"  ,but the print was so-so

1. Giogio Armani (black background white lettering)
2. Giorgio Armani (White background black lettering)
3. Armani Collezioni
4. Emporio Armani
5. Armani Jeans

There are some other lines from a while ago, i.e. Prive, Classico etc and both I believe are higher than what is considered black label.

The one you got is somewhere between Collezioni and black label, Armani white label as I call it. Quality so so and I have not seen anything from this line that was markedly superior to Collezioni.

A/X is not an Armani brand hence why I missed it.

a/x i thought was, collezioni def used to be licensed not sure now, armani has not been relevant for over 10 years now, stupendous fall from grace, emporio armani used to be great shit (til spoo came an ruined it lol),there also used to be a giorgio armani classico line and the black label used have the milan address on it like a burgunvo or something like that. It is made by vestimenta anyway quality, but nothing spectacular
