John Wayne dolls?
Anyone heard Willie Nelson's new song Come On Back Jesus (And Pick Up John Wayne On The Way).
Destined to be a classic.

Visited my parents last night and gathered some stuff to take up to my apartment. Started loading up my car in the driveway early this morning, taking a few trips from the house out through the garage to my car in the driveway.

Went in for one more bag and as I came out of the house into the garage a few minutes later, I was startled to see a guy standing a few feet away closing the door of my mother's car. I screamed bloody murder, dropped what I had in my hands and yelled get out of here at the top of my lungs while I chased him out of the garage. I screamed drop everything, and he actually dropped my mom's wallet on the way down the block.

Called the police immediately (figured it made more sense to get them on the way instead of continuing to give chase) and was transferred 3 times (had to describe the event 3 times as well) before actually getting the right police department. Finally arrived about 10 minutes later.

As far as we can tell, he got away with very little, ignored all the tools and other items in the garage, ignored the stuff in my car (the back was opened and full of stuff). Just wanted cash.

Needless to say, it will be a while before I sleep again. A Liam Neeson movie night followed by some random fist fights might help quell this rage.

Leather surrounded brass snaps

Check one off the list! Too bad it isn't smaller... I'm sure someone small would have dug this. Now I may have to keep it. Though as Macklemore said, smells like R. Kelly's sheets.

That sucks about the theft experience. Really gets you to keep on your toes, though. I had a set of wheels stolen from my parent's place several months ago and now anything of any value gets taken inside and the garage gets put on lock-down when I leave.

On the other hand, that parka is amazing!! Nice!!! icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

The deets on that thing are killer! Leather backed brass snaps?!

I'm still on the lookout for my first Camp 7 piece. I've found some down parkas before but they've all been trashed beyond repair. Couldn't even consider it patina.

+1. I got mine off Craigslist. A small store was going out of business about 5 miles away from me so I got a full body male mannequin for $40.

Here are a couple of items I found that I thought were interesting:

Aflac 2006 Annual Convention Tie. Perfect condition and nice silk. Made in the USA, anyone know who makes these?

Fugly YSL Tie:

Fairly dated Cerruti. Too big so I left it. Probably around a 42/44.

No name tie that I like. First pic has more realistic colors, second was added for clarity.

Gray Camel Hair SC - Chaps, but fits really well. I need a casual sportcoat, and this bad boy delivered:

Then I found this, and I need to research if it's worth flipping. Anyone know anything about these? Serial number is G0800456.

I also found two Oxxford SCs, but their buttoning point was so low, it was freaky. Almost like they were shortened after the fact. One fit fairly well, but again, it looked very strange.

Nice finds ATLJon!

Sandy just turned into a big windstorm and rain up here in the ROC for me as well, although there were something like 16K homes without power. I was hoping for the day off today to list stuff on eBay, but no dice.

Yup. St. Andrews.

The LB has double vents, surgeons cuffs and is a 3-2. It is marked 100 percent Alpaca.

The label says jacket, but there's also something about pants lining content. I assume that's just like including a drop just for the hell of it?? This can't be an orphan, can it?

quick measurements (Click to show)

19 shoulder

25.5 sleeve

32 length

22.5 p2p

The Hickey Freeman is a center vent.

They live in northern Orange County. The area isn't bad at all, and they live on a private street. Totally a case of wrong place wrong time for both he and I. Another couple Allagash Curieux's and I definitely would have been capable of some random fistfights, but alas I decided it was too much trouble haha.

Love the Aflac duck, that tie is awesome.

From the picture, it looks like Singer Featherweight - I'm not certain on that, though. Is there any possibility that the number could be EG0800456?

If its an EG, its from October to December of 1950.

The value depends a lot on the accessories and condition. Mint condition with its original case and tools is about $350 (they do go as high as $700 from a dealer), working but with surface wear and no accessories is around $50-100 on eBay.

It definitely was a G series...no E on the serial plate. Based on what I've seen, the G Series can be as old as 1910. I need to go back and have another look at this thing again to see what accessories, if any are there. Not to mention how easy it would be to clean it up.

Thanks for the reply Vintage.

Great look E.  Really dig the pea coat.  The gold buttons really make that thing pop
