Related to interesting drug related experiences.....

I remember my boss popping disco biscuits when we all went out clubbing. My boss got it bad, he was drinking like a fish and later that evening he was resting on the pavement yelling random bullshit, I will do my best to translate:

Boss: "Waaahhhhhh, Bleurrrghhhhhhhh," and a few fucks n shits thrown in. Epic evening I must say, we just left him there and went home lol8[1].gif.

I am guessing he must have taken something else as well though - beer and ecstasy do not create lunatic "post lobotomy" behavior.

I'd love to see that. Speaking of old stuff from trad makers, I spotted this today:

1941 Hickey Freeman
Navy flannel and, somehow, flawless at 71 years old. Really well made and cool to see. Measures about a 40 or 41 R, with sleeves on the short side (32–33"). 6 on 2, besom pockets, pleated and cuffed, unvented. Didn't pick it up but thought it was worth a mention.

Definitely would pick this up. What a score! A perfect suit from a well known maker that is over 70 years old and by a well known maker. I'd high-tail it back there and snag it tomorrow. That thing should fetch major bucks.

Look to be a donation from a store as the content tag is cut and the Unis branding tag was removed.  No idea who stocks Unis around these parts and this is the first pair I've handled in person.  Easily as nice as Incotex, Outlier, Bill's, etc.  Tagged size 34.

Nice! I've only seen a Unis piece once. There's a local discount store that has a NWT moleskin peacoat for like $100. Waiting for it to go cheaper but it's been at full price for over a year. Their discounting system is so wonky.

Spent about 1/2 hour writing up a list of vintage outdoor labels to keep your eyes out for. I know a lot of flippers and thrift shops who use this thread as a reference so please PM me if you're interested in the list. I'd rather not publicly post it as this stuff is about the only stuff left that floats under their radars. I'm working on a list of current labels to keep your eyes out for right now and will have it ready tomorrow.

Hi Gents, this has nothing to do with thrifting per se, but it has everything to do with thrift fits. I've always been into slim fitting suits and jackets, that's why I tend to go down a size on jackets. I often come across the problem of having divots in my shoulders, especially the right shoulder due to it being an inch lower than the left one. I've always thought the reason for the divots is because the jacket shoulders are either too wide or having too much padding. I've found out I was wrong.

According to jefferyd, a fellow SFer who is a fashion designer and a tailor, the cause of divots is the armholes are not cut to the exact shape of the wearer's shoulders. I think in my case, the circumference of the armholes are too small for the size of my shoulders, therefore causing them to stretch and distort thus, elongating the sleeve cap.

You can read his comment on here.

In order to remedy this, I'll just have to go with a bigger sized jacket and take it in for a slimmer fit. It all make sense now!

WHAT!  You're a saint!  I'm gonna go check it out before church!

I sent out a 4-5 PMs to people as their secret santa wanted to know more info or had specific questions.

In other news, my wife has attempted to throw away the sheet I have that contains all of the names. Here is what I had to write on the top:

"Not trash! Not today, not tomorrow, never!"
