If you see the address directly below the name, it's still of good quality but it is from the early to late 90s. If you see Emporio on a tag, I can only recommend that you run rather than walk away (unless the fit is excellent and you will wear it yourself)
In the world of Armani, it goes from:
Armani Prive (couture; I think I've seen once piece in the last fifteen years)
Giorgio Armani (the black label we have been talking about)
Armani Collezioni (bridge label. Get it if the style is super modern, fabric is excellent and condition is good. About BB quality at twice the price)
Emporio Armani (cheap label)
Armani Exchange (teen label)
If you see "Giorgio Armani" written out in black font on a white label, that piece is at least 25 years old...

+1!

I have an Oxxford guanaco overcoat and it is the tits. If it's your size or anywhere near it, don't sell it... no matter how tempting! You will *not* see that again!

My wife hassles me occasionally about my owning an overcoat that may be worth more than one of our cars. lol8[1].gif I think it's well worth it!

edit: one store today. zilch. downer was, same chain as the store I found the HAULLL of pants yesterday. frown.gif

Did I not tell you that Recent 39 S Hickey Freeman is my middle name? You didn't know that?

I have bought many pairs from Daffys that had both the Facconable and Incotex labels. (looking for one now). Two different pairs of pants but you get the point.

I never head of Guanaco before but after doing some research I found that it is very comparable to Vicuna

I figure even if it's fake it'll still make a pretty sweet square.

Real, though hella old - 90-91 maybe. Not really worth a flip, but enjoy it!

For me, I finally got pics of the accessories from my grab bag (RTW to come later) if anyone cares... Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Better pics of the Brooks Brothers Hand Tailored. Is this Martin Greenfield or Southwick?

And can we revive our discussion about ebay lighting/shooting. I'm on a Cannon T2i, and I have no idea what I'm doing. If I'm offending delicate thrifting sensibilities, tell me where to take this.

Your other option is to shoot outside. Best time to do it is an hour before sundown--known as the golden hour.

My pictures don't exemplify this - I just don't have the room to do it.

From this poor quality picture, can anybody tell if this is authentic? Priced at $40, so I left it.

There's a few discussion about photography and lighting in the eBay thread: http://www.styleforum.net/t/309281/buying-and-selling-on-ebay-tips-tricks-problems-questions

(I personally would shoot earlier than that. The golden hour is great for portraits and landscapes, but can mess with accurate color representation for product shots.)
